The engineer will collaborate closely with development, business, operations, and client teams to validate system functionality, identify defects, improve software quality processes, and support continuous delivery initiatives aligned with NPHIES standards and regulatory requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Release Validation & Quality Assurance\nVerify and validate software releases prior to and following production deployment.\nExecute production readiness assessments and quality gate reviews.\nPerform end-to-end testing of new features, enhancements, patches, and hotfixes.\nEnsure all deployments comply with business requirements, technical specifications, and NPHIES standards.\nValidate software behavior in production and non-production environments.\nSupport release sign-off activities and provide quality recommendations for go-live decisions.\nFunctional & Integration Testing\nDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.\nValidate integrations across healthcare platforms, payer-provider systems, HIS, HIE, and third-party applications.\nVerify FHIR APIs, HL7 message exchanges, and interoperability workflows.\nConduct regression, integration, system, user acceptance support, and production verification testing.\nIdentify, document, track, and verify resolution of software defects.\nProduction Quality Monitoring\nMonitor production systems to identify quality trends, recurring defects, and performance issues.\nAnalyze production incidents and work with technical teams to identify root causes.\nEnsure production issues are properly tested and validated before closure.\nParticipate in post-release verification and production health checks.\nEstablish quality metrics and KPIs to measure software reliability and user experience.\nTest Automation & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites.\nSupport CI/CD initiatives by integrating automated quality checks into deployment pipelines.\nIdentify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness.\nPromote quality engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.\nHealthcare Compliance & Interoperability Validation\nValidate compliance with NPHIES interoperability requirements and healthcare data exchange standards.\nVerify implementation of FHIR resources, APIs, and healthcare workflows.\nEnsure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across integrated healthcare systems.\nStay current with healthcare regulations, interoperability standards, and industry best practices.\nDefect Management & Root Cause Analysis\nInvestigate complex software defects and production incidents.\nPerform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.\nCollaborate with development and support teams to prioritize and resolve critical issues.\nEnsure fixes are properly validated and do not introduce regressions.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps Engineers, Support Teams, and Client Stakeholders.\nParticipate in requirements reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and release planning activities.\nProvide quality assessments and recommendations during solution reviews.\nSupport user acceptance testing and production deployment activities.\nDocumentation & Knowledge Management\nCreate and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, defect reports, and validation documentation.\nContribute to quality standards, testing procedures, and operational runbooks.\nSupport knowledge transfer sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.\nExperience\n7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Production Support.\nExperience within Healthcare IT, Digital Health, Health Insurance, or Payer-Provider ecosystems.\nHands-on experience validating enterprise applications in production and pre-production environments.\nProven experience in test planning, execution, defect management, and release validation.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nExperience with Functional, Integration, Regression, System, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing.\nStrong knowledge of Healthcare Interoperability Standards including: FHIRHL7Healthcare APIsNPHIES standards and workflows\nExperience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.\nStrong SQL and Oracle database skills.\nExperience analyzing logs, troubleshooting production issues, and validating fixes.\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms,
