As a member of our Platform Architecture team, your AWS expertise will play a vital role in helping optimize our cloud environments, improve performance, and enhance security. The team is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing the frameworks and infrastructure to align with application, platform, and system requirements. The team collaborates closely with software, site reliability, security and other engineering teams to ensure that the finalized infrastructure and application architecture align with security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards.\nResponsibilities:\nThe essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nDesigns, deploys, and manages AWS EKS clusters, ensuring high availability and scalability.\nWorks with AWS ECS (Fargate) to implement serverless container orchestration.\nSets up, configures, and maintains message brokers (Amazon MQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ) for distributed applications.\nManages and optimizes Amazon RDS for SQL databases, including performance tuning and high availability.\nImplements and fine-tunes Amazon Redshift for data warehousing, providing high-performance analytics.\nDevelops and maintains infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.\nDesigns and configures tooling like CloudWatch and Datadog to maintain the health, performance, and security of AWS environments.\nCollaborates with internal stakeholders and platform engineering teams to understand specific business needs and recommend appropriate AWS services.\nLeverages the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability of AWS environments.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is strongly preferred.\nProven experience in designing and managing AWS cloud services with expertise in EKS, Fargate, MQ, RDS, and Redshift.\nProficiency in containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nStrong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and client-facing environments.\nMust be US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the US permanently.\nIRALOGIX is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team that embraces diversity, represents a variety of backgrounds, and upholds inclusiveness.
