IRCA is a prominent international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry, and gelato markets. They cater to independent producers as well as large food manufacturers, including consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies. The company's core product offerings consist of chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and various other bakery and pastry ingredients.
Headquartered in Italy, IRCA was acquired by Advent International, a global private equity firm, in July 2022. The company has demonstrated a strong history of growth over the past decade. As part of its growth strategy, IRCA made two bolt-on acquisitions in 2022. They acquired Cesarin, a provider of candied fruits, and Anastasi, a supplier of pistachio ingredients. These acquisitions expanded IRCA's product portfolio and market reach.
More recently, IRCA acquired the leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target company focuses on high-value specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment. Their product range includes sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates, and fruit purées. This deal, successfully completed in March of 2023, is a transformative move for IRCA, establishing them as a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry.
With this acquisition, IRCA has a combined revenue of €1 billion in 2023 and a presence in 22 manufacturing facilities across Europe, the US, and Vietnam. This expanded manufacturing footprint and diversified product portfolio positions IRCA as a key player in the market, serving a wide range of customers in the bakery, pastry, and gelato sectors, as well as food manufacturers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure all shipments receive the proper documentation.
- Keep management and supervisors aware of product shortages to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Practice excellent internal and external customer service when interacting with coworkers, clients, freight companies and customer representatives. Your goal: all external parties receive a positive interaction with the company.
- Verify all outbound shipments to be accurate by comparing the customer order to physical materials and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition.
- Work with material handlers to ensure all shipments are handled promptly and properly.
- Complete all responsibilities in a safe and timely manner.
- Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
- Responsible for answering CS, Warehouse, and Production inquiries in a timely manner using all communication channels.
- Always maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Utilize ERP system (InforM3) to facilitate the shipping process from beginning to end.
- Handle Freight Claims/returns for non-conforming materials.
- Any other tasks or projects may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
- Attendance counts towards performance.
Essential Responsibilities:
A successful Irca Group USA LLC Traffic Coordinator is responsible for aligning and monitoring inbound and outbound deliveries, including small parcels, LTL, and TL shipments. You will ensure all materials are properly verified and are reflective of customer demands.
The Traffic Coordinator will maintain customer order accuracy through proper review processes including BOL, PRO #, materials and transfers to 3PLs. In this role, you will also assist the Warehouse in reviewing scheduled inbound materials, including labeling and processing.
Education & Requirements
- Minimum 1-year experience (3 years preferred) Transportation experience as “Owner” of area. HS diploma or GED Equivalent. Prefer familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Experience operating forklift trucks is required.
- Excellent communication skills, including sharing the inbound and outbound appointment calendar with the warehouse team.
- Strong organization and documentation skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets.
- Ability to load trucks using forklift and/or pallet jack. Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, reach daily and as needed to perform all job functions.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in a team as well as independently.
- Perform different job functions within the organization’s warehouse department.
- Must be able to follow procedures, best practices and report unsafe and unprofessional behavior.
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
