IREN’s vertically integrated platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada. \nThis role supports both day-to-day operational purchasing (MRO, maintenance materials, tools, and services) and capital projects/construction purchasing (equipment, materials, and subcontracted services).The Purchaser will partner with site Operations, Construction/Project teams, and the Inventory/Warehouse function to source, quote, raise PRs/POs, and track orders through delivery—ensuring materials, equipment, and spare parts are available when needed to support uptime and on-time project delivery.\nThe Vendor Onboarding & Risk Specialist owns the end-to-end vendor onboarding process, ensuring that new and existing suppliers are qualified, documented, and approved in line with company policy before work is awarded or purchase orders are issued.\nThis role is responsible for coordinating vendor prequalification, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), insurance and safety verification, financial and sanctions screening, and vendor master activation. in.\n\nResponsibilitiesProcurement Support (Operations & Projects)\nSupport site Operations and Maintenance teams as well as Construction/Project teams with sourcing materials, equipment, tools, and services required for ongoing maintenance and capital projects.\n\nObtain vendor quotations and evaluate pricing, lead times, and availability.\n\nCreate and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system in accordance with company policies.\n\nEnsure accuracy of part numbers, quantities, pricing, coding, and supporting documentation prior to order release.\n\nMonitor open orders and proactively track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.\n\nCommunicate order status updates to site stakeholders.\n\nCapital Projects / Construction Procurement (Priority)\n\nSupport capital project procurement planning by aligning sourcing activities to project schedules, long-lead items, and construction milestones.\n\nIssue RFQs/RFPs, coordinate vendor/site walkthroughs where required, and compile bid comparisons (bid tabs) for stakeholder review.\n\nPartner with Construction/Project Managers to ensure scopes, pricing, payment terms, delivery terms, and insurance/compliance requirements are captured prior to award.\n\nConvert awarded quotes into PRs/POs and support contract/PO alignment in coordination with Procurement, Finance, and Legal as applicable.\n\nExpedite critical materials and equipment, proactively manage supplier commitments, and communicate risks and mitigations to project stakeholders.\n\nSupport change management by processing PO changes, tracking revised quotes, and maintaining clear documentation for cost control and auditability.\n\nSupport project closeout purchasing activities including reconciliation of deliveries, resolving discrepancies, and coordination of final invoicing/receiving documentation.\n\nVendor Coordination & Order Management\nMaintain regular communication with vendors and service providers to confirm pricing, lead times, shipment status, on-site requirements, and issue resolution.\n\nResolve order discrepancies including incorrect pricing, quantities, damaged goods, delivery delays, and missing documentation required for receiving and payment.\n\nSupport onboarding of new vendors in coordination with Finance and Procurement.\n\nMaintain accurate vendor records within the ERP system.\n\nInventory, Warehouse & Site Logistics Support\nCollaborate with Inventory and Warehouse teams to support spare parts and stock item procurement.\n\nSupport replenishment purchasing for stocked materials based on defined min/max levels.\n\nCoordinate with site teams on delivery logistics for large/critical items (e.g., staging, laydown areas, receiving windows) to support both operations and construction activities.\n\nCoordinate with Warehouse team to ensure proper documentation aligns with receiving processes.\n\nAssist in building structured procurement workflows as warehouse operations mature.\n\nERP & Process Compliance\nEnsure all procurement transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system.\n\nMaintain documentation and records in accordance with internal procurement and financial controls.\n\nSupport continuous improvement of site-level procurement processes.\n\nAdhere to company policies regarding purchasing authority, approvals, and vendor selection.\n\nRequirements\nDiploma or post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.\n\n2–4 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably in construction/capital projects, industrial, utilities, or data center environments.\n\nExperience using ERP systems for PR/PO processing and order management.\n\nExperience supporting competitive sourcing (RFQ/RFP), supplier quote evaluation (bid comparisons), and documenting award decisions.\n\nStrong attention to detail and data accuracy.\n\nAbility to manage multiple open orders and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nService-oriented mindset with ability to support cross-functional teams.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software.\n\nPreferred Experience\n\nExperience purchasing for capital projects/construction (materials, equipment, and subcontracted services), including expediting long-lead items and supporting change orders\n\nAbility to interpret basic scopes of work, specifications, and construction documentation to support accurate ordering and supplier coordination.\n\nExperience supporting maintenance or operations teams in industrial or technical environments.\n\nFamiliarity with spare parts, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)
