This role is based at the Cypress, CA and will have responsibility for performing software and systems development solutions on all industrial automation projects related to manufacturing production assembly and packaging operations. This role will require software programming skills to develop, troubleshoot, and support automation controls, networking, HMI interfacing, and SCADA level systems. This position will be key technical player in supporting the software elements of automation at the manufacturing site.\nOur work environment is fast-paced, with a collaborative atmosphere. We are looking for like-minded individuals to join our team today!\nResponsibilities include:\nAutomation Controls\nDesign, program, and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider). \nDevelop and maintain control logic for manufacturing and industrial processes. \nPerform system integration and commissioning of automation equipment. \nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for control system failures. \nNetworking & Communication\nConfigure and maintain industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, OPC UA). \nDesign and support industrial network architecture (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, switches, routers). \nEnsure cybersecurity best practices are implemented in control networks. \nMonitor and optimize network performance for automation systems. \nHMI (Human-Machine Interface) Interfacing\nDevelop and maintain HMI screens using platforms like FactoryTalk Optix, Ignition, or Wonderware. \nIntegrate HMI systems with PLCs and SCADA systems. \nProvide training and documentation for operators and maintenance personnel. \nSCADA Systems\nDesign, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control. \nConfigure data acquisition, alarms, trends, and reporting features. \nIntegrate SCADA with MES/ERP systems for data flow and analytics. \nPerform system upgrades and patch management. \nAdditional Responsibilities\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, IT, production). \nMaintain documentation including electrical schematics, network diagrams, and software backups. \nSupport predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. \nStay updated with emerging technologies in industrial automation and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things). \nEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E). \nAbout you:\nMinimum of 8 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields is required: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering\nKnowledge in the following: Control systems, Digital and analog electronics, Programming (e.g., C/C++, Python, ladder logic), Robotics and automation, Instrumentation and sensors, Networking and communication protocols\nCertifications (Highly Recommended)\nCertified Automation Professional (CAP) - by ISA \nPLC Programming Certifications - from Rockwell Automation, Siemens, etc. \nCompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA - for networking knowledge \nSCADA/HMI Training - vendor-specific (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk) \nLocation:\nOrange CountyActual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.\nEstimated Pay Range\n$138,000.00 - $180,000.00As a part of our core values, we ensure an inclusive workforce.
