This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently validate financial data and resolve issues. The Senior Revenue Analyst partners with cross-functional teams to ensure revenue accuracy, maintain SOX compliance, and support audit readiness while driving process improvements and automation, including the effective use of AI tools, prompts, and agents.\nKey Responsibilities\nRevenue Close & Financial ReportingOwn and prepare key revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules during the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.\nPerform independent validation of outputs, including tie-outs, variance analysis, and reasonableness checks before submission.\nEnsure timely and accurate completion of assigned close deliverables in accordance with the close calendar.\nMaintain supporting documentation and ensure all work is audit-ready.\n\nReconciliation & Analytical ReviewPerform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items proactively.\nConduct variance analysis across revenue, allowance, and key financial metrics.\nIdentify inconsistencies, investigate root causes, and resolve issues independently.\nApply analytical review to ensure outputs are complete, accurate, and consistent with expectations.\n\nProcess Ownership & ControlsUnderstand end-to-end revenue processes, including dependencies across data sources, schedules, and journal entries.\nEnsure compliance with SOX controls, including preparation of control evidence and documentation.\nParticipate in improving and standardizing accounting processes, controls, and documentation.\nProactively identify control gaps and suggest enhancements.\n\nData & SystemsExtract, validate, and manipulate large data sets from multiple systems (e.g., ERP, Tableau, Snowflake).\nEnsure data integrity through validation checks and consistency reviews.\nSupport system implementations, testing, and workflow improvements.\nLeverage automation and data tools to improve reporting and reduce manual effort.\n\nData Analytics & Business InsightsAnalyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.\nDevelop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics.\nStandardize key metrics and definitions to ensure consistency across reporting.\n\nAudit & ComplianceSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to audit requests.\nEnsure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting and disclosures.\nMaintain compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.\n\nProcess Improvement & AutomationIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows and eliminate manual processes through automation and responsible use of AI.\nSupport integration between systems and improve data flow across platforms.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and accuracy and enable more time for analysis versus data compilation.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\n3-5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, financial analysis, or related field.\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue accounting principles.\nExperience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.\nProficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with ERP and reporting systems.\nExposure to or experience with AI tools, including effective prompt development and agent-based workflows, automate processes and improve analytical efficiency; ability to validate AI-assisted outputs is preferred.\nStrong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data.\nAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgment.\nStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nExperience in SOX environment and audit support preferred.\nLocation:\nSan FranciscoActual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.\nEstimated Pay Range\n$111,000.00 - $144,000.00As a part of our core values, we ensure an inclusive workforce.
