As a Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, you will independently design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based software applications and deployment infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to implement secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions, contribute to software architecture and deployment strategies, and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable software and infrastructure. You will thrive in this position if you are a self-starter who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, continuously learning new technologies, and delivering high-quality solutions within an Agile development environment.\nThis position requires an active/current Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).\nWhat You’ll Do:\nIndependently design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain cloud-native software applications and supporting cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms \nDesign, implement, and optimize secure cloud architectures, application security controls, and deployment solutions supporting mission-critical applications. \nBuild, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerized deployment environments \nCollaborate with software, systems, operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure engineers to integrate cloud-native solutions throughout the software development lifecycle \nSupport software integration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and sustainment activities \nBuild, maintain, and improve software build environments, automated testing, and deployment processes as appropriate \nParticipate in Agile/Scrum planning activities, sprint execution, backlog refinement, and software release planning \nMaintain accurate project status, technical documentation, and issue tracking using approved development tools \nFollow established engineering processes including configuration management, change control, risk management, software quality, and secure development practices \nClearly communicate technical concepts, project status, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders \nIdentify opportunities to improve software quality, team processes, automation, and overall engineering efficiency \nProvide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the engineering team \nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline \n8+ years of professional software development experience developing production-quality software throughout the full software development lifecycle \nExperience with AWS EKS/Kubernetes and automated container deployments \nExperience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools alternatives \nExperience with Vault/AWS Secrets Manager or other alternatives \nProficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud services \nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab or alternatives) and deployment automation \nExperience developing scalable, maintainable, and well-tested software \nExperience using source control, issue tracking, and collaborative development tools \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic \nExperience working within Agile software development environments \nHave confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team \nPossess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutions \nBe proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with others \nCapable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met \nThings That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:\nKnowledge of infrastructure automation and cloud networking concepts \nFamiliarity with DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices \nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools Knowledge of application security principles, vulnerability assessment, and secure coding practices (i.e. certificate injections, token validation) \nCertified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) \nFamiliarity with security analysis tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, or similar platforms \nAWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification \nFamiliarity with Linux operating systems and Bash scripting \nWe’ll also need you to:\nBe a U.S. Citizen \nWork Environment:\nThis position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer.
