IRIS Global Software is a leading provider of accountancy and human capital management (HCM) software, serving businesses and accounting firms across the Americas. As the Americas business grows, we are building out a team to support strategic growth and operational excellence.
The Business Analyst will work directly with the Senior Director of Program Management across three areas: strategy and market research, business operations, and customer renewal programs. This is a generalist role that suits someone who is comfortable switching between big-picture analysis and hands-on execution, and who wants real responsibility from the start.
It is a strong entry point for someone early in their career who wants broad exposure to how a global software business works.
Responsibilities
Strategy and market intelligence
Support development of the Americas go-to-market strategy, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and opportunity identification
Research market trends, competitor activity, and customer segments, turning findings into clear briefings and presentations for senior stakeholders
Build and maintain a competitive intelligence tracker covering key players in the HCM and Accountancy software markets
Help prepare materials for leadership reviews and strategic planning cycles
Work on ad hoc strategic projects as business priorities shift
Business operations
Support the design and upkeep of program trackers, making sure key Americas priorities have clear owners, milestones, and status visibility
Spot operational inefficiencies and contribute to process improvement work across the Americas team
Help coordinate cross-functional projects, tracking actions and keeping workstreams on schedule
Analyze business performance data and pull out insights to support day-to-day decision-making
Contribute to the team's AI agenda, evaluating tools, identifying use cases, and helping embed AI-powered workflows
Customer renewal programs
Support the management and tracking of customer renewal pipelines across the Americas, working alongside Customer Success
Analyze renewal data to identify at-risk accounts, trends, and areas for improvement
Help build and maintain renewal dashboards and reporting in Salesforce
Assist in preparing renewal review materials and supporting customer-facing program governance
Requirements
Essential
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business, economics, finance, or a related field
1 to 3 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, operations, or consulting
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to draw structured conclusions from data
Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior audiences
Solid working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
High attention to detail and good organizational habits
Able to work independently in an environment where priorities shift
Genuine interest in the software industry and how technology businesses grow
Nice to have
Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform
Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude
Background in SaaS, enterprise software, or B2B technology
Experience supporting customer success, renewals, or account management teams
Some exposure to financial modelling or P&L analysis
