It’s The Iron Bow Way.\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\nIron Bow is seeking an Sr. Service Provider Network Engineer to provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and engineering oversight supporting Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) A6. This position plays a critical role in the operation, optimization, and expansion of the PACAF BlackCore network, leveraging advanced Cisco SRv6 and Crosswork technologies to support mission-critical communications across the Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR).\nThe ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise networking, WAN technologies, network security, and DoD cybersecurity requirements while serving as a trusted technical advisor to government stakeholders and senior leaders.\nHOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT\nProvide engineering oversight and operational support for the PACAF BlackCore SRv6 network environment.\nDesign, implement, optimize, and maintain Cisco SRv6 and Crosswork solutions supporting mission-critical operations.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation of SRv6 configurations, network policies, standards, and operational procedures.\nDeliver technical training and knowledge transfer to PACAF personnel.\nSupport ongoing maintenance, modernization, and expansion of the BlackCore network infrastructure.\nServe as the technical lead during network incidents, troubleshooting efforts, and service restoration activities.\nMonitor network performance and optimize configurations for bandwidth utilization, application-aware routing, resiliency, and failover capabilities.\nProvide advanced troubleshooting for connectivity, performance, security, and routing issues within SRv6 environments.\nAssist the Government with Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and Accreditation & Authorization (A&A) documentation.\nDevelop, review, and maintain RMF deliverables, including:System Security Plans (SSPs)\nPorts, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) documentation\nControl validation artifacts\nSTIG compliance documentation\nPlan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)\nSystem Topology Documentation\n\nCollect and develop A&A artifacts in accordance with Authorizing Official (AO) requirements.\nProvide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and follow-on corrective actions.\nSupport network architecture planning and implementation efforts across PACAF Main Operating Bases (MOBs) and Geographically Separated Units (GSUs).\nPrepare and deliver technical briefings to government leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.\nCollaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and government teams to ensure successful mission execution.\nSKILLS THAT DRIVE SUCCESS\nActive Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance.\nMinimum of 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Cisco SRv6 solutions.\nStrong understanding of Air Force Cyber architecture and PACAF organizational structures, including MOBs and GSUs.\nExperience supporting DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF processes, ATO packages, and compliance activities.\nExperience collecting, developing, and maintaining Accreditation & Authorization (A&A) artifacts.\nAdvanced understanding of enterprise networking concepts and architectures.\nProfessional-level proficiency with:TCP/IP\nDNS\nVPNs\nVLANs\nOSPF\nBGP\nMPLS\nSRv6\n\nDeep knowledge of WAN technologies and network optimization strategies.\nExperience leading network implementation, deployment, maintenance, and modernization efforts.\nStrong understanding of network security principles and cybersecurity best practices.\nAbility to diagnose and resolve complex networking and security issues.\nExperience creating and maintaining detailed network design documentation and diagrams.\nFamiliarity with cloud networking environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.\nExperience briefing technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nDemonstrated ability to brief senior leaders and large audiences.\nStrong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.\nCertification Requirements\nMust possess one (1) certification meeting DoD 8140 Advanced Cyber Workforce requirements, including but not limited to:\nCISSP\nCISSP-ISSEP\nCISM\nCISA\nCySA+\nGSLC\nGSNA\nGCSA\nFITSP-A\nCPTE\nCISSO\nAND\nMust meet DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III requirements through one (1) of the following:\nCASP+ CE\nCISSP\nCISA\nCCSP\nWHAT SETS YOU APART\nCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).\nJuniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP).\nExperience supporting large-scale DoD network transformation initiatives.\nFamiliarity with software-defined networking (SDN) architectures and automation technologies.\n TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nPrimary work location is Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) A6, Oahu, Hawaii.\nAbility to travel throughout the PACAF Area of Responsibility to support Main Operating Bases (MOBs) and Geographically Separated Units (GSUs).\nTravel may be AND BENEFIT INFORMATION\nThe salary range for this position is $160,000-$180,000/yr. This range reflects the anticipated base pay for the position and is not a guarantee of final compensation.
