This is a full-time position as a Packaging Technician, whose responsibilities include setting up and breaking down equipment, ensuring all Clean-In-Place procedures meet Iron Heart standards, and operating and maintaining the canning line. Starting compensation is $20/hour with benefits for all full time employees including paid sick leave, paid holidays, PTO, and medical/dental insurance. Theses exams were not designed to make you fail; they were designed to set you up for success!\nPass Onboarding exam, Pass Tech II exam, Pass Advanced exam [$1.00 increase]\nPro Tech exam [title promotion $1.00 increase]\nPackaging Technician Duties/Responsibilities:\nTransport and set up/take down of heavy equipment in a box truck to and/or from canning runs\nChemical Mixing and Sanitation Procedures\nSetting up and troubleshooting equipment such as labeler and date coder \nConsistent quality checks\nKeeping the equipment clean and up to IHC standards\nFull understanding of company policies and rules\nCollaborating with the other technicians and brewery staff\nSafely and efficiently operate heavy packaging machinery\nPackaging machinery repair and maintenance\nMandatory lunch breaks\nCommunicate with customers professionally \nPackaging Technician Supervisory Responsibilities:\nPackaging Technicians are expected to be able to operate independently and take responsibility for the jobsite, managing customer interactions while providing direction to the technicians onsite. \nRequirements\nPackaging Technician Required Skills/Abilities:\nUnderstanding of mechanics\nAbility to learn onsite\nMultitasking\nCommunication\nYou’ll need to pull 150-lb. pallets of cans, push the 800-lb. canning line into place (it is on wheels), stay on your feet for lengthy 8-12-hour shifts (federal/state law lunch breaks required), and perform other physical tasks as required.\nFlexible Schedule: Every week is different, depending on the breweries scheduled. Long hours and overnight stays are common.\nHardworking: Pride in your work, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are all essential.\nQuick Learner: There is a lot to learn as our procedures and processes are always improving. \nCraft beverage knowledge: Home brewing or brewery experience is a big plus, as is a general appreciation for great craft beverages.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n4-year college degree preferred but not required\nOne year of packing machine operator experience preferred but not required\nPackaging Technician Physical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions at job sites including loud noise, high and low temperatures and small working areas.\nAbility to continuously stand or walk\nAbility to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally\nAbility to push/pull up to 800 pounds on wheels\nAbility to perform repetitive motion functions in support of canning line operations\n\"This position may be subject to pre-employment requirements including MVR check and background screening.
