Iron Mountain is seeking an operational Logistics Supervisor. In this role, you’ll lead daily transport operations across our Rugby and Corby sites, playing a crucial part in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and performing at its best. You’ll have the opportunity to direct daily shift launches, support a dedicated team of drivers, and optimize routes across the local site cluster. Here, your leadership will directly ensure our transport network remains as dependable as the trusted reputation we’ve built over decades.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
- Supervise daily transport shift launches and evening debriefs across Monday to Friday operations.
- Lead and schedule a team of 9 to 12 direct reports across Rugby and Corby, managing allocations and team performance.
- Maintain total transport legal compliance, safety protocols, and driver hours in line with DOT and HGV regulations.
- Oversee fleet maintenance and servicing schedules, coordinating emergency repairs with internal teams and external vendors.
- Analyze operational performance weekly, tracking fuel consumption, vehicle uptime, and cost efficiencies.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Several years of experience in transport operations, fleet supervision, or logistics team management.
- Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of UK transport legislation, HGV licensing, driver hours, and safety compliance.
- Proven people management skills with experience supervising site operations and driver teams.
