We design our own wearable hardware, deploy it alongside craft workers, and transform a shift's footage into a next-morning report. Our internal team and purpose-built models label the data overnight and deliver actionable insights to superintendents by 5 AM.\nWe are accelerating the speed, efficiency, and predictability of construction, especially for complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects, including data centers, LNG facilities, sports stadiums, hospitals, and other large-scale developments, by training AI models on egocentric construction footage and labor productivity data. We are built with a pro-worker philosophy at our core: we believe technology should empower the workforce, not replace it. We're working to give craft workers and project leaders better visibility into what's happening on-site, while creating a system where the reality of construction and the chaos of each day is finally available to the people running the project.\nIronsite is deployed across several of the largest active construction projects in the country. To date, we've captured more than 100,000 hours of construction footage across seven states, now process thousands of hours of site activity every day, and maintain a worker opt-out rate below two percent. This is enabled by a workforce-first architecture that anonymizes devices, captures no audio, and never releases raw video.\nIronsite is backed by leading investors (8VC, South Park Commons, Saga Ventures) and prominent operators across technology and construction, including Eric Schmidt, Jeff Dean, Jeff Rothschild, Mark Leslie, Scott Wu, Eric Glyman, Karim Atiyeh, Russell Kaplan, and others, alongside over a dozen construction industry operators who have joined us as partners in building this.\nLonger term, we believe Ironsite is the foundation for what construction becomes in the next decade. We think the systems we're building are the operating system for how the physical world gets built, and will unlock a fundamentally different way of respect for our workforce. One where craft workers are more valued, more visible, and better paid for the skill they bring, and where the industry finally has the intelligence layer that makes autonomous construction possible. Both futures start with the same foundation.\nThe Role\nWe're hiring our first Mechanical Global Supply Manager to lead the sourcing and supply chain strategy for Ironsite's hardware.\nYou'll own the mechanical commodity strategy for our first-generation product, and you'll do it in a fast-moving environment where the market is already asking for what we're building. This is not sourcing for a product looking for a market. This is sourcing for a product that has customers waiting, deployments already running, and a hardware roadmap that scales into the millions of units over the next few years.\nThis role reports into the Supply Chain function and works closely with Hardware Engineering, Operations, and Finance. You'll be one of the earliest hires in supply chain, which means you'll set the standard for how Ironsite builds its supply base, negotiates with suppliers, manages risk, and scales production. Everything you do becomes the foundation the rest of the team runs on.\nWhat You'll Own\nSourcing and strategy.\nDevelop and execute a global commodity strategy for mechanical components, including CNC-machined parts, die castings, sheet metal, injection-molded plastics, and electromechanical assemblies.\nIdentify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers in alignment with cost, quality, and lead time targets.\nLead RFQ and RFP processes and drive competitive bidding across the supply base.\nSupplier management.\nOwn the supplier relationship from selection through lifecycle management.\nConduct regular business reviews with key suppliers (QBRs) and set the operating cadence for how we engage with our supply base.\nDrive supplier development programs and corrective actions.\nOwn supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.\nLead capacity planning, dual-sourcing, and risk mitigation for long-lead and critical parts.\nResolve supply disruptions decisively and prevent repeats.\nCost, contracts, and scalability.\nNegotiate long-term supply agreements, pricing, and terms.\nDrive costs down through design collaboration, process optimization, and commercial negotiations. Target year-over-year cost reductions while maintaining a win-win approach with suppliers.\nDefine tooling strategies, capacity investments, and ramp plans with suppliers as Ironsite scales from thousands of units to hundreds of thousands.\nCross-functional collaboration.\nAlign with engineering on DFM during NPI.\nAlign closely with operations and planning on capacity and delivery performance.\nSupport escalations related to supply disruptions or shortages.\nEnsure supply assurance by driving necessary and timely action for potential supply issues, aligning with the CM and Head of Supply Chain for accurate clear-to-build.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired\n5-8+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or commodity management, ideally at a hardware company scaling from early production to volume.\nDeep experience with mechanical manufacturing processes: machining, casting, stamping, sheet metal, injection molding, and related processes.\nDemonstrated expertise managing Asia-based suppliers, including on-site engagement and supplier development.\nExperience working with a global supply base at the executive level, and holding suppliers accountable to commitments.\nStrong negotiation and contract management skills. You've closed deals that mattered.\nComfort with international travel. This role will require meaningful time on the ground with suppliers overseas.\nProficiency with PLM systems (Arena, Propel, or similar).\nDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.\nStrongly preferred\nExperience with battery pack and optical subassemblies.\nPrior experience as an early supply chain hire at a hardware startup that scaled from early volumes to full production. You've been through the zero-to-scale journey and know what breaks first.\nAbility to generate clear and concise updates to all levels of internal and external stakeholders, including at the executive level.\nDemonstrated expertise managing cross-functional and international resources to achieve objectives on time and on budget.\nNice to have\nMandarin or Vietnamese language proficiency.\nExperience with consumer electronics, wearables, or ruggedized hardware programs.\nFamiliarity with contract manufacturing partners in Taiwan, mainland China, or Southeast Asia.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nFirst 60 days. You know our full BOM, our current supply base, and our upcoming product roadmap cold. You've built relationships with our critical suppliers and identified the top three sourcing or supplier risks we need to address.\nFirst 6 months. You've qualified new suppliers where we needed depth or geographic diversification, qualified tools to support an EVT build, set cost targets, and put in place the supplier management cadence that will scale with the company.\nFirst 12 months. You're the internal authority on how Ironsite sources mechanical components. Our supply base is deeper, more resilient, and more cost-effective because of you. You’re identifying and going after cost-down opportunities. When we scale to hundreds of thousands of units, we're set up to do it because of the work you put in.\nLocation, Compensation, & Perks\nSan Francisco Bay Area (on-site)\nBase salary: $175k-$200k per year, commensurate with experience\nSignificant early-stage equity\nFull benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with 6% match\nDaily catered breakfast and lunch\nOffice in San Francisco, next to Oracle Park and the Caltrain\nFinal compensation is determined by experience, location, and level.\nWhy This Role\nEvery category-defining hardware company has a supply chain leader who was the reason they could actually build at scale. Not because they had the best spreadsheet, but because they built the supplier relationships, negotiated the right deals, and prevented the disruptions that would have killed the company.\nIronsite is at that moment. We have the product, the customers, the funding, and the manufacturing partnerships. What we need now is the first supply chain leader who is going to build the mechanical supply base that lets us scale from thousands of devices to hundreds of thousands, without losing quality, without losing margin, and without losing time.\nIf you've spent your career building supply chains at hardware companies that scaled, and you're ready to do it again from the ground up in a company that's already earning the right to scale, we want to talk.\nCompensation\nThe base pay range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000 per year.","description_format":"text","description_chars":8934,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"Vietnamese","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":true}]},"benefits":["Equity"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-14T12:30:37Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":18,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.503,"p_room":0.35,"age_days":54,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["conf:2","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-15T05:46:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":200000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/ironsite-mechanical-global-supply-manager","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/ironsite-mechanical-global-supply-manager.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-15T13:36:34Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":20983,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-16T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4409697},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4409697"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fironsite-mechanical-global-supply-manager"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fironsite-mechanical-global-supply-manager"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fironsite-mechanical-global-supply-manager"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/ironsite-mechanical-global-supply-manager\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fironsite-mechanical-global-supply-manager"}]}
