We develop & maintain an internal data collection application, Fast APIs to collect the required data. We also manage funds data distribution services, routinely increasing efficiency year over year through automation. We are looking for a candidate who is independent, driven, and has strong communication skills and technical knowledge, who will help the team contribute to the company’s goals and help to provide our clients with the data they need to make informed decisions. A passionate software engineer with proficiency in development, deployment of software & follows coding best practices.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, fine-tune, and deploy small and open-source large language models (LLMs) such as Llama, Mistral, OpenAI GPT, etc.\nHands-on leadership in prompt engineering, few-shot prompting, and building advanced NLP/NLU workflows.\nGuide adoption of modern AI/ML frameworks (Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, LangGraph, etc.) and architect reusable pipelines in Python.\nDrive critical systems architecture in Python, using best practices in API and microservices design (FastAPI, Flask, Django, etc.).\nProvide technical guidance to the development team on architecture, design, and implementation decisions.\nProvide technical support by incident resolution, and production troubleshooting\nCode quality through code reviews, advocating coding standards, and identifying risks before code reviews.\nShould collaborate with stakeholders and the healthy technical discussions engineering team.\nSupplements technical decision-making skills with broader business knowledge\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5-8 years of overall industry experience inPython designing, developing, and deploying applications, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.\nCandidate should have experience in API development (Fast/Rest)\nExperience with ETL pipelines.\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science\nExperience with relational database (MySQL, MSSQL, or similar RDBMS)\nHands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and integrating AI capabilities into applications\nMust have strong real-world experience in LLM prompt engineering, few-shot prompting, and fine-tuning (using anyone frameworks like Hugging Face, LangChain, LangGraph, etc.).\nHands-on deployment and scaling of AI/ML services on AWS, Azure, or GCP; proficient in containers, serverless, and infrastructure as code\nActively uses AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) in daily development workflows\nStrong Communication and problem-solving skills.\nFlexible with time zones/shifts and a willingness to handle on-call responsibilities\nExperience with GitHub-based development processes\nOrganized, self-directed, and resourceful with the ability to appropriately prioritize work in a fast-paced environment\nDesired Skills\nFamiliar with Agile software development (Scrum is a plus).\nWhat's In It For You\nAt FactSet, our people are our greatest asset, and our culture is our biggest competitive advantage.
