Join us and be a part of this exciting alchemy where your talent meets our vision, creating a world of pure chemistry!\nAbout the role: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations and facility systems performance within a GMP-regulated manufacturing facility. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with people leadership, overseeing a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics while maintaining the reliability and optimization of critical systems including boilers, chillers, water purification, and sanitization.\nThe Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the preventive and predictive maintenance programs, improving equipment uptime, and ensuring all facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP and FDA regulatory standards.\nThis role is fully on-site in our new Mesa, AZ facility.\nDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLeadership & Team Management\nLead and coach a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics, establishing clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability.\nBuild schedules and on-call coverage to support a manufacturing environment.\nFoster a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement across the maintenance function.\nUtilities & Facilities Maintenance\nOversee the operation, reliability, and compliance of all critical utility systems, including:\nBoilers and steam distribution systems\nChillers, HVAC, and environmental controls\nReverse Osmosis Systems\nSanitization systems\nEnsure all systems meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements for GMP manufacturing.\nOversee execution of all maintenance work (preventive, corrective, emergency), ensuring minimal disruption to production.\nEngineering & Continuous Improvement\nLead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for recurring equipment or system failures.\nDrive reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.\nSupport capital projects, including equipment installation, commissioning, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).\nCompliance & Systems Management\nEnsure all maintenance and engineering activities comply with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and internal quality standards.\nOwn and optimize task systems, ensuring accurate asset tracking, work orders, and maintenance history.\nMaintain audit-ready documentation and support internal/external inspections.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support scale-up, process improvements, and capacity planning.\nManage external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and facility services.\nOther duties as assigned by Director of Manufacturing Operations.\nREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.\n5+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities engineering, or utilities within a GMP-regulated environment (pharma, biotech, cosmetics, or food).\n2+ years of supervisory experience managing maintenance teams in a manufacturing setting.\nStrong technical expertise in:\nBoilers and steam systems\nChillers, HVAC, and environmental systems\nReverse Osmosis and sanitation systems\nMechanical, electrical, and control systems (PLC knowledge a plus)\nProven experience building and managing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.\nStrong understanding of GMP, FDA, and OSHA requirements.\nAbility to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.\nDemonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.\nAbility to stand, bend, and climb for extended periods.\nComfortable working in manufacturing environments with exposure to chemicals, powders, and equipment noise.\nOur company is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities and embraces diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
