These four entities are:\nForestry & Utility Division\n\nEnvironmental Division\n\nTechnology & Innovation Division\n\nSustainability Division\n\nJOB SUMMARY: As an On-Call Archaeologist, you will support a variety of cultural resource projects across the Midwest region, with a strong focus on work within the states of Illinois and Indiana. This position is not tied to a specific location, offering the opportunity to contribute to diverse field and research efforts throughout the broader region.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:\nServe as a Crew Member for the project\n\nConduct Phase I and Phase II cultural resources surveys\n\nDocument archaeological sites and IOs/IFs\n\nConduct probing or shovel testing\n\nUse hand-held field technology (i.e., ArcGIS phone/tablet application paired with sub-meter GPS receivers)\n\nWork in moderate weather conditions (fluctuating temperatures and inclement weather, including rain and snow)\n\nAbility to walk 4-10 miles per day over rough terrain and lift up to 50 lbs\n\nWork independently and efficiently, while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment\n\nMaintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings\n\nFollow instruction and make adjustments when provided feedback\n\nSupport, actively participate in, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group's culture of safety and employee ownership\n\nComply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures\n\nOTHER DUTIES: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. anthropology, or related field:\n\nProficient in prehistoric and/or historic archaeology in the Midwest region\n\nProficient in documenting archaeological sites and IOs/IFs in the Midwest region\n\nOrganized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy\n\nExcellent navigational skills (GPS and compass) and ability to navigate and drive 4WD vehicles\n\nAbility to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nProficiency using tablets (Apple iPad or Samsung Galaxy) to document cultural resources\n\nProficiency with sub-meter GPS receiver\n\nProficiency with ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 applications (for phone or tablet)\n\nPrevious NHPA, NEPA, FERC, and/or
