You ensure that approved manufacturing processes, work instructions, inspection steps and quality controls are consistently followed on the shop floor to support product integrity, mission success and repeatable production. \nThis is a production-facing assurance role, not a design engineering role. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Inspection and Test, Materials Laboratory, Supplier Quality and Configuration Management to verify that approved materials, processes, inspections and acceptance requirements are correctly applied and documented in daily production. \nYour Role in Our Space Mission: \nOwn product assurance activities for assignedflight hardware and systems during production and acceptance.\nMaintain a regular presence on the shop floor and verify that production follows approved drawings, work instructions, process specifications and inspection plans.\nIdentify and escalate deviations in manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, handling, environmental controls and other critical productionprocesses.\nEnsure critical characteristics, acceptance criteria, hold pointsand required verification evidence are understood, followedand recorded in production.\nReview production records and qualification evidence from a product assurance perspectiveand confirm readiness before critical manufacturing steps.\nVerify correct execution and control of applicable special processes,including approved procedures, process parametersand personnel qualifications.\nConfirm that required inspections, tests, witness activities and verification records are completed and documented as specified.\nProvide assurance oversight of inspection and teststrategies, methodqualification, personnel qualification and verification coverage for critical hardware.\nReview internal and supplier capabilities, qualification status and production readiness for assignedhardwareand systems.\nEnsure that changes to materials, processes, tooling, software, suppliers, facilities and inspection methods are approved before implementation in production.\nLead or support risk-based disposition of productnon-conformances, deviations, concessions and repair proposals.\nMonitor shop-floor process compliance and production performance, identify recurring issuesand drive practical preventive actions and lessons learned.\nEnsure productacceptance evidence is complete, coherent and available to support certification, product acceptance and flight readiness.\nMaintain alignment between Product Assurance and Manufacturing Assurance while preserving independent assurance authority. \nQualification Checklist \nBachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Scienceor a related discipline.\nExperience in product assurance, quality engineering, manufacturing assurance or a related engineering role within aerospace, space, defence or another highly regulated environment.\nStrong understanding of flight hardware, manufacturing and assembly processes, product integrityand common failure modes.\nKnowledge of production process controls, special processes, integration, testing, handling and environmental requirements.\nExperience with material qualification, process qualification, First Article Inspection and production acceptance activities.\nUnderstanding of inspection and test methods, their applicability and limitations, and the qualification requirements for methods and personnel.\nAbility to review engineeringdrawings, material and process specifications, qualification reports, inspection and test plans,and acceptance evidence.\nWorking knowledge of configuration management, traceability, change control, non-conformance management and risk-based decision making.\nFamiliarity with aerospace quality and product assurance frameworks such as EN 9100, ECSS or equivalent requirements is advantageous.\nStrong analytical judgement with the confidence to challenge technical, repair and acceptance decisions constructively.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers and programme stakeholders.\nProfessional proficiency in English; German language skills are beneficial\nAim high, deliver relentlessly, act with integrity, and keep the mission first.\nBenefits \nEmployee Participation Program: Share in our success through our virtual company share program\n30 days of vacation: Enjoy the days off to relax and recharge \nCompany pension plan: Secure your future with our company pension plan, featuring a 20% employer contribution after the probation period\nSubsidised lunch: Stay energised with delicious, subsidised lunches every day\nFlexible mobility budget: Travel your way with a choice between a fully financed Deutschlandticket, JobRad bicycle leasing, FINN JobAuto, or a fuel allowance\nRental clothing with laundry service: Enjoy hassle-free workwear with our convenient rental clothing and laundry service \n Sport Clubs membership: Stay fit with our sponsored sports club memberships (EGYM Wellpass)\nIndividual learning allowance: Grow your skills with an individual learning budget granted after the probation period\nChildcare allowance: Receive a childcare allowance for your non-school-age children\nAnd Much More!
