Senior Quality Engineer Propulsion (m/f/d)

Mission Brief 

As part of the Quality team, the primary purpose of the role is to manage quality control activities and to work with production team to maintainproduct quality by enforcing quality management policies, procedures and instructions and implement new approaches. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission 

• Monitor the entire assembly, integration and testing cycleofpropulsion (sub-) assemblies, plan and execute quality control activities, evaluate nonconformities, and specify corrective and preventive actions to solve the problems  
• Conduct qualitychecksfor ongoingworkswithsiteinspectionson a regularbasisand ensurethattechnicalstandardsarealwaysmet 
• Oversee the assembly, testingand engineering processes by ensuring the proper use of tools, materials and procedures and determinequality metrics 
• Understandtestrequirementsand proposesolutionsto resolveissues 
  • Support testingof subsystemsfromQuality side 
• Create qualityand safetydocumentation 
• Plan and organizeregularproductinspectionsas wellas manage internalaudits 
• Prepare quality control plans in accordance withcompany plans and review the documentation 
• Work withinternal teamsto increasecustomersatisfactionby improvingthe qualityof the products 

Qualification Checklist 

• University degree in engineering or related field 
• At least10 yearsin highly regulated production environment (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive), 3 years out of which in Quality or Testing 
• Experience workingotheroneormoreof the followingsystems: Valves, Turbomachinery, CombustionDevices, Fluid Systems, experiencein testingof subassemblies 
• Experience in statisticalqualitycontrolmethodsin manufacturingenvironment 
• Experience withcause-effectanalysisand problem-solvingmethods(5 Why Analysis, 8D Reports, Fish bone/Ishikawa Diagrams) 
• Experience with APQP and ISO 9145 is advantageous 
• Goodknowledgeof AS 9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 and Internal Auditor certification 
• Willingness to travel is preferred, driver's license required 
• Fluent in English and Germanis advantageous
