During the initial launch site development phase, flexible working arrangements may be required. The role includes an extended onboarding and training period at our headquarters in Germany or at our launch site in Norway, before transitioning to Canso as local operations are established. \nYour Role in Our Space Mission: \nLaunch Pad Build-up and Commissioning: Support build-up on-site, and lead the commissioning planning and its execution in close collaboration with our design and engineering teams in Germany \nLaunch Campaigns: Play a key role in launching our Spectrum vehicle from preparatory work, over ensuring pad readiness to operating the ground and vehicle systems during launch countdown \nProcess Improvement: Develop and improve procedures and processes to ensure smooth, safe and efficient operations \nHigh-Quality Standards: Maintaining high-quality standards while handling flight hardware and working on systems interfacing with the launch vehicle \nTeam build-up: Supporting building the local operations team, potentially developing into a leadership role \nQualification Checklist \nRelevant engineering qualification or engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar \nHands-on experience in development or testing of complex systems, preferably involving extreme operating conditions and special requirements such as cryogenic temperatures, high pressures, high temperatures or hazardous materials (flammable or explosive) \nExperience in data acquisition, reduction and evaluation (preferably involving Python) \nUnderstanding of the design process of fluid and mechanical systems from theoretical concept to realization, commissioning and operation \nExperience in operations planning and ability to manage tight timelines \nExperience with multidisciplinary troubleshooting \nAbility to perform in high-stress environments, maintaining focus for long durations \nHighly organised, effective team player with high attention to detail \nAble to adjust self-sufficiently and quickly to a highly dynamic work environment \nPhysical dexterity is required as working in confined spaces is necessary (including the ability to lift 25kg without assistance) \nFluency in English \nBonus Skills \nHands-on experience with fluid systems and piping/tubing \nKnowledge rocket propulsion systems and/or structures \nWho we are\n\nWe are Isar Aerospace and we are at the forefront of New Space building a modern space business to enable faster, better and cheaper access to space.\nOur mission is to help democratise space and use it for good in order to improve life on Earth now and for the future generations.\nWe are a fast-growing company aiming to provide sustainable and environmentally friendly launch solutions for small and medium-sized satellites and constellations into Low Earth Orbit.
