Working Student - AI Platform and Enablement (m/f/d)

Mission Brief 

Build the AI platform behind Isar Aerospace: Isar Aerospace is building Europe’s next-generation space company: vertically integrated and data driven. 

We are building an AI platform that brings models, agents, and automation into engineering, production, and business. We are looking for a hands-on working student who wants to build new capabilities, test emerging technology, and turn AI into operational impact.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

Build the platform. Make AI work at scale. 

You will: 

• Build and improve our self-managed AI platform 

• Deploy and integrate models, gateways, APIs, MCP servers, and platform services 

• Prototype agentic capabilities and automation workflows 

• Evaluate open-source models, coding agents, and emerging AI tools 

• Work with teams to turn problems into AI solutions 

• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and platform operations 

• Keep the platform reliable, documented, and ready to scale

Qualification Checklist 

• You are studying computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field 

• You are comfortable with Linux, Docker and APIs 

• You actively experiment with AI models, agents, and developer tools 

• You learn fast, take ownership, and enjoy building things that work 

• You communicate clearly in English

• LLM inference, model gateways, or GPU workloads 

• Docker Compose, CI/CD, observability, or secrets management
