Join us and be a part of this exciting alchemy where your talent meets our vision, creating a world of pure chemistry!\nAbout the role: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports production in a GMP-regulated environment, maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while minimizing downtime.\nThis role is fully on-site in our new Climate-Controlled Mesa, AZ facility.\nShifts: Day Shifts - Monday through Friday (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) with OT for Scheduled Maintenance.\nBenefits: Life, Dental, Vision, Health, 401k, PTO\nDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on manufacturing and packaging equipment, including mixers, fillers, cappers, labelers, conveyors, and utilities.\nExecute preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with manufacturer specifications and SOPs.\nAssist in equipment installation, setup, and validation for new machinery and production lines.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities in accordance with cGMP and company documentation requirements.\nRespond promptly to production calls for equipment repairs and support troubleshooting to minimize downtime.\nMonitor and maintain facility systems such as water purification, compressed air, and electrical systems.\nCollaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nAdhere to safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA standards while performing maintenance tasks.\nMaintain an organized, safe, and compliant maintenance shop and spare parts inventory.\nAny additional duties assigned.\nREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related field preferred.\nMinimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food manufacturing strongly preferred.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.\nStrong knowledge of Boiler, Chiller, RO Water, and HVAC.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.\nFamiliarity with GMP, FDA, and regulatory requirements for manufacturing environments.\nBasic computer skills for documentation and maintenance software (CMMS experience a plus).\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the facility for the entire scheduled shift (typically 8-12 hours), with only standard meal and rest breaks; this is an essential function of the role.\nAbility to frequently lift and carry tools, parts, and equipment components weighing up to 50 lbs, and to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs with assistance or mechanical aid; ability to move heavier loads using appropriate lifting and material handling equipment.\nAbility to climb ladders, fixed stairs, and scaffolding, and to work safely from elevated platforms and heights as needed to access equipment.\nAbility to work in confined or restricted spaces, and to crouch, kneel, crawl, and work in awkward positions to access, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.\nAbility to frequently reach overhead, bend, twist, and stoop to perform installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.\nManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to use hand and power tools, precision instruments, and to perform detailed mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic repairs.\nNear vision sufficient to read schematics, technical manuals, gauges, and equipment displays, and to perform close detail work during repairs.\nHearing sufficient to diagnose equipment issues by sound and to detect alarms and verbal communication in a high-noise environment.\nAbility to safely work with and around electrical systems, moving machinery, and lockout/tagout procedures.\nAbility to tolerate exposure to chemicals, lubricants, dust, powders, and varying temperatures, including hot and cold utility areas, inherent to facility maintenance work.\nAbility to wear required PPE for the full shift, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed footwear, plus additional PPE (e.g., arc-flash protection, respirators, fall protection harness) as required for specific tasks.\nCompliance with all OSHA, GMP, and plant safety requirements.\nOur company is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities and embraces diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
