To accomplish this, we’re building a digitally focused team that deeply understands the intersection between user experience, data, and AI/ML to optimize the way we engage with our customers and partners.\nJob Summary\nAs a Corporate Accounting Supervisor with ISC, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day corporate accounting functions of a growing private equity backed MGA. This role supervises the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and compliance with GAAP while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records.\nThe Corporate Accounting Supervisor leads and develops accounting staff, maintains strong internal controls, and drives process improvements to support scalability and growth. \nThis role requires onsite attendance five days a week for the first three months then evolves to a hybrid schedule over the following three months.\nPosition Responsibilities\nSupervise the monthly and annual close process\nReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules\nOversee accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions\nReview monthly financial statements\nSupport preparation of lender reporting and debt covenant compliance\nAssist with year-end financial audit\nProvide supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial information for tax filings\nSupport acquisition accounting for mergers and acquisitions\nSupervise staff accountants, including reviewing work product and provide coaching and performance feedback\nComplete special projects and financial analyses as assigned \nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred \n5-8 years of accounting experience\nDemonstrated oral and written communication skills \nAbility to communicate effectively with team members and provide solid customer service to clients \nAbility to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently \nHighly organized with a strong attention to detail \nProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Accounting systems \nAccounting for an insurance MGA experience a plus\nWilling to work in our Carlsbad, CA office\nThis role also comes with an annual bonus. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience.
