Perform administrative duties regardingnew and renewal accounts, risk assessment, and lossruns and loss ratings. May assistsenior underwriter with the computation of rates and premiums.This is adeveloping level position. \nCandidates considered for this position must be located within a commutable distance to our Carlsbad, CA or Buffalo, NY office , or be remote from Lincoln, NE , or Phoenix, AZ.\nPosition Responsibilities\nUtilize understanding of exposures and risks analysis to assess loss history and current condition of finances for a case. \nCollects, studies, and reviews documentation pertaining to risk cases, performing risk analysis to conclude whether a case is worth accepting.\nConduct preliminary reviews of complex submissions to identify errors, omissions, and confirm eligibility.\nCollaborate closely with the underwriting team to finalize insurance applications efficiently.\nUtilize multiple databases to gather and verify supplementary data for submissions.\nManage inbound calls, connecting customers and team members to ensure a seamless and positive experience.\nRespond to customer needs, providing guidance and assistance tailored to their insurance needs.\nProcess accounts from approved quotes through to policy issuance with accuracy and efficiency. \nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree required\nMinimum of 1 year of P&C underwriting or related P&C underwriting support experience required\nCPCU, CIC, CRIS, Property & Casualty Brokers License, etc. a plus\nStrong customer service experience\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn industry-specific software\nAbility to work collaboratively with team members and other departments\nStrong desire to learn, explore new ideas, and seeking out new knowledge\nAbility to be flexible, embrace change, and quickly pivot in response to shifting priorities \nWilling to work in office in a hybrid capacity if located within a commutable distance to Buffalo, NY or Carlsbad, CA OR work remotely from the Lincoln, NE or Phoenix, AZ area\nThis role also offers bonus pay.
