This role is responsible for ensuring materials and products move efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.\nWorking closely with teams across Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Program Management, the successful candidate will drive process improvement, standardization, operational excellence, and team development. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building scalable systems, processes, and capabilities that support GeoSpectrum's continued growth.\nResponsibilities\nLead and develop teams across materials, warehousing, inventory control and logistics.\nEstablish clear priorities, operating routines and performance expectations.\nDevelop team capability through coaching, training, cross-training and succession planning.\nImprove and standardize receiving, storage, inventory control, material movement and shipping processes.\nStrengthen ERP usage, data quality, reporting and operational controls.\nPartner with Finance on inventory reconciliation, accuracy, valuation, ageing, excess and obsolete inventory reporting.\nLead domestic and international logistics activities, including freight, customs documentation and trade-compliance requirements.\nMonitor operational KPIs and use data to identify issues, improve performance and support decision-making.\nWork closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Engineering and Program Management.\nChampion continuous improvement, LEAN, 5S, workplace safety and operational discipline.\nQualifications\n8+ years of progressive experience in materials, warehousing, logistics, inventory control or supply chain operations, ideally in a manufacturing environment.\n3-5 years of direct people leadership experience, including demonstrated success developing teams and improving organizational capability.\nRelevant post-secondary education in supply chain, operations, business, engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nDemonstrated experience introducing and standardizing new processes in warehouse, materials or logistics environments.\nStrong knowledge of receiving, inspection interfaces, storage, inventory control, cycle counting and ERP-based inventory management.\nExperience with inventory reconciliation, inventory reporting, variance investigation and financial or audit controls is strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated knowledge of domestic and international logistics, customs documentation, import/export requirements and applicable trade-compliance controls.\nHands-on experience with LEAN, 5S, root-cause analysis or similar improvement methodologies.\nCore Competencies\nProven people leadership experience with a track record of developing teams and improving capability.\nStrong analytical and financial awareness, with the ability to turn operational information into practical decisions.\nA collaborative, hands-on leadership style and the ability to lead effectively through change.\nTransferable Skills\nExperience improving and standardizing operational processes.\nStrong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams, with the ability to leverage ERP systems, reporting tools and data to support decision-making.\nKnowledge of domestic and international logistics and trade-compliance requirements.\nSecurity Requirements\nAll candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security clearances.\nAbout Us\nGeoSpectrum Technologies was founded in 1994 by friends who wanted to work together and build a collaborative workplace where employees take pride in contributing to cutting-edge technology from concept to delivery.
