Our mission is to forge industrial acceleration.\nThe role\nOur parts depend on materials, components and special processes from outside suppliers, and the network can only grow as fast as that supplier base can be trusted.\nThe Supplier Quality Engineer develops and maintains a capable, aerospace-ready supplier base across Isembard's network, from qualification and risk assessment to performance monitoring and corrective action. It is a centralized role working with procurement, supply chain, engineering and site quality teams, with the independence to raise concerns and escalate risk without compromising conformity.\nWhat you'll do\nLead supplier qualification and approval: capability assessments, risk-based audits and approved-supplier recommendations.\n\nDefine supplier quality requirements, including material certification, conformity documentation, flow-down clauses and special-process approvals.\n\nMonitor supplier performance and prioritize improvement by risk.\n\nOwn supplier nonconformance investigations, containment and corrective action (SCAR), and verify the fix worked.\n\nSupport receiving and source inspection and first article inspection (AS9102 where applicable).\n\nReview supplier changes and guard against counterfeit parts, unauthorized substitutions and lost traceability.\n\nBuild supplier quality standards and records in our QMS and MasonOS, and support customer and certification audits.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nFour or more years in supplier quality, manufacturing quality or quality engineering in precision or regulated production.\n\nWorking knowledge of AS9100 / EN 9100 or ISO 9001 requirements for external providers, traceability and corrective action.\n\nExperience conducting supplier assessments or audits.\n\nPractical root cause analysis and corrective action.\n\nConfidence with drawings, specifications, tolerances and certification requirements.\n\nStrong documentation and supplier communication, and willingness to travel to suppliers and sites.\n\nNice to have\nAerospace, defense, CNC machining or high-mix precision manufacturing.\n\nNADCAP special processes and raw-material traceability.\n\nCMM inspection, GD&T, MSA or SPC.\n\nASQ CQE / CQA, lead auditor or comparable credentials.\n\nWhy Isembard\nShape the quality and capability of a growing supplier network.\n\nBuild quality systems that work in practice, with a
