This includes supporting with key elements including:\nStrategic Employee Benefit design,\n\nMaximising the use of effective Technology\n\nRisk and healthcare broking\n\nWorkplace Health and Wellbeing\n\nManagement of Defined Contribution Pensions schemes\n\nThis Industrial Placement is an exciting opportunity to build your knowledge of this growing business and develop your understanding of client facing consulting skills.\nWhat does the role entail?\nInvolvement in designing and implementing innovative benefit strategies for the modern world whilst understanding the design considerations employers have including cost, risk and best practice.\n\nAttending client meetings to understand client needs and help their organisation provide a benefit strategy that meets the needs of their employees.\n\nAnalysing employee data and survey results to consider views and circumstances of employees which may result in benefit change recommendations.\n\nSupporting on projects to review, change or implement specific employee benefits or technology, or to support organisations in communicating with employees.\n\nResearching benefits and providers and supporting experienced consultants to prepare reports in relation to provider market reviews.\n\nDrafting employee communications and dealing with employee queries in relation to their benefits - resolving issues and communicating back to employees in a timely manner.\n\nSupporting the development and updates to our financial wellbeing tools.\n\nHelping clients with the governance of their benefits (e.g. pensions).\n\nDeveloping content for seminars and/or workshops to employees.\n\nManaging projects to deliver financial coaching sessions to employees.\n\nWorking with experienced consultants in growing the revenue from our current clients through providing high-quality consultancy around their approach to Reward and Benefits.\n\nContributing to new business activities including involvement with tender submissions and pitches.\n\nHow to build effective client relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.\n\nProfessional networking\n\nWorking with regulated advisers on strategic pension scheme design covering trust based and contract based environments.\n\nSupporting pension trustees with ongoing regulatory requirements for defined contribution pension schemes and evolving requirements in the DC regulatory landscape.\n\nSupporting reviews of pension scheme investment strategy, including undertaking stochastic modelling, portfolio construction, and working with global fund managers to implement new investment mandate.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nClear and consistent written and spoken communication skills\n\nStrong customer service mindset\n\nThe ability to organise information, priorities and deadlines\n\nThe ability to work with numerical and financial information\n\nCommercial Awareness\n\nPassion and excitement for solving problems\n\nThe ability to build effective working relationships\n\nThe ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients, valuing different perspectives\n\nConsistent care taken over quality, accuracy and follow-through\n\nThose that can respond constructively when priorities change\n\nThose that stay curious and look for better ways to solve problems\n\nConsistently show respect, fairness and integrity\n\nHigh levels of self-discipline to manage time around working and studying for professional qualifications\n\nWe will assess these behaviours in a structured and consistent way during the recruitment process.\nPrevious pensions or consulting experience is not required.\nTraining and development\nYou will receive structured learning, practical experience and support from your team.\nYou will develop technical, business and professional skills through on-the-job learning, formal training and hands-on client work.\nA induction programme\n\nTechnical and professional skills training\n\nOngoing opportunities to build your pensions and wider market knowledge\n\nA buddy to help you settle in\n\nSupport from a Performance Manager with your development and progress\n\nYou will be supported in working to achieve a relevant externally accredited qualification that will be identified within 12months after you start linked to where you demonstrate your strengths and preferences. This would be a qualification/professional membership from one of the following:\nChartered Insurance Institute (CII)\n\nPrince 2/Agile Project Management\n\nPensions Management Institute\n\nLength of programme\nAround 3 years to achieve your relevant professional qualification, however you are employed on a permanent basis from the start of your graduate role.\nLocation and working pattern\nThis role is based in our Manchester office.\nExpected office attendance, including the first few months is four days per week minimum in office and then two/three days a week in the office moving forwards.\nThe working pattern will reflect client, team and learning needs. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate.\nEntry requirements\nYou must have completed an undergraduate degree or higher-level qualification by 20 September 2027 and achieved a 2.1 or higher.
