You will work alongside experienced colleagues on real client projects and learn how mathematics, data and clear communication support decisions about pension schemes.\nThe internship is designed for students in the penultimate year of university who expect to graduate in 2028. It will help you build analytical, consulting and workplace skills while learning more about a future actuarial career.\nPrevious pensions or actuarial work experience is not required.\nWhat does the role entail?\nCarry out calculations for individual pension scheme members and client organisations\n\nHelp build and check financial models using statistical methods\n\nReview data carefully and explain your findings\n\nDraft clear communications and supporting materials\n\nResearch business and market developments\n\nSupport client work and attend team or client meetings where appropriate\n\nShare knowledge and ideas that help improve our service\n\nYour responsibilities will grow as your skills and confidence develop.\nWhat we’re looking for\nAn interest in mathematics, finance and solving problems\n\nThe ability to review information carefully and explain your thinking\n\nA willingness to learn technical and workplace skills\n\nThe ability to organise your time and meet agreed deadlines\n\nThe confidence to ask questions and use feedback\n\nThe ability to work positively with others\n\nBeing able to value different perspectives and work collaboratively\n\nThe ability to communicate clearly and listen to others\n\nBeing able to take care over quality and accuracy\n\nA good ability to respond constructively to feedback\n\nPeople who stay curious and look for better ways to solve problems\n\nConsistently acting with respect, fairness and integrity\n\nWe will assess these behaviours in a structured and consistent way during the recruitment process.\nTraining and development\nYou will receive on-the-job learning and support from experienced colleagues.
