They design and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure environments, and support with application maintenance.\nWorking within the Microsoft ecosystem, this role involves collaborating with stakeholders, developers, and business change to ensure solutions are provisioned to the required specifications, whilst also being mindful of broader strategic initiatives. This role will also involve guiding developers through technical decisions and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.\nAlthough this position encompasses many aspects, this role requires being hands-on day to day to ensure project delivery and technical excellence. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to broaden their career, being in an autonomous role whilst still working from the front line.\nThis role is a fixed term contract for 12 months, based in our Birmingham city centre office with a hybrid workstyle. There will be occasional travel to other offices.\nWhat does the role entail?\nSupporting Isio’s broader development strategy, with a particular focus on infrastructure delivery and documentation. All utilising modern development standards & DevOps processes such as Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with Terraform.\n\nRefining Isio’s existing DevOps processes and ensuring they are consistently implemented across all projects.\n\nWorking with our Lead Developers to support and implement agreed ways of working processes relating to development.\n\nCollaborating with multiple teams consisting of internal and external members, based geographically throughout the UK and Europe.\n\nSupporting Isio’s automated testing strategy to speed up delivery and ensure development quality is of a high standard.\n\nEngaging with leaders across Isio to reinforce understanding of requirements and solution designs, then implementing them in the most effective manner.\n\nHaving the responsibility to oversee major product feature enhancements from initial build to production release and maintenance BAU.\n\nSupporting with database architecture, in line with the wider group governance. This includes working with both structured and unstructured data storages.\n\nPromoting a culture of continuous improvement within the Development team by mentoring and upskilling others.\n\nParticipating in Isio’s CAB to ensure effective governance of changes being deployed to production systems.\n\nInvolvement in Isio’s adoption of AI, including working with custom AI integrations\n\nWorking in a growth culture business within a start-up like environment, but supported by the stability and resources of a corporate organisation\n\nWhat we’re looking for?\nKey Role Requirements\n5+ years hands on experience with the Azure Cloud Platform (AWS and GCP are not applicable for this role), covering a broad range of Azure resource types\n\n3+ years development experience with the Microsoft Ecosystem (C#, dotnet, ARM)\n\nStrong experience with DevOps maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Github Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines strongly preferred\n\nStrong experience with Terraform\n\nHands on experience working on codebases of varied high level architecture patterns (Monoliths, Microservices)\n\nKnowledge of containerisation and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)\n\nExposure to working with messaging queues (Azure Service Bus preferred) and asynchronous architectures\n\nKnowledge of serverless technologies. Azure Functions preferred.\n\nExperience working with both structured and unstructured data.
