The QA Lead oversees functional testing, regression testing, test automation, integration testing, and release validation while establishing consistent QA processes and quality standards across onshore and offshore teams.\nThe ideal candidate has extensive experience testing enterprise retail eCommerce applications, a strong understanding of Bloomreach and SAP Commerce Cloud architectures and capabilities, and proven experience coordinating QA activities across development, product management, business analysis, and business stakeholders.\nThe QA Lead will drive continuous improvement in testing effectiveness, automation coverage, defect prevention, and release quality while supporting frequent, reliable delivery of eCommerce enhancements.\nResponsibilities:\n1. QA Leadership and Strategy\nDefine and maintain the overall QA strategy, testing standards, processes, and best practices for the eCommerce platform.\nLead functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, automation, performance, accessibility, and cross-browser testing.\nEstablish risk-based testing approaches focused on critical customer journeys, business functionality, and high-impact platform changes.\nDefine testing milestones, entry and exit criteria, release quality gates, and defect severity standards.\nProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and direction to functional QA and test automation engineers.\nCoordinate QA resources across onshore and offshore teams to ensure consistent execution and timely delivery.\nIdentify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, prevent production defects, and increase automation coverage.\n2. Bloomreach Platform Testing\nLead QA activities for eCommerce functionality implemented using Bloomreach, including applicable content management, search, discovery, and personalization capabilities.\nValidate content creation, editing, publishing, scheduling, and delivery workflows.\nTest content components, page templates, navigation, and content presentation across supported browsers and devices.\nValidate search functionality, autocomplete, relevance, filtering, sorting, and product discovery where these capabilities are implemented through Bloomreach.\nTest personalization, recommendations, and targeted experiences against defined business rules and acceptance criteria.\nValidate content and product data synchronization between Bloomreach and SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).\nTest APIs, integrations, and data flows between Bloomreach and supporting enterprise systems.\nVerify that content and product updates are reflected correctly across the website and that publishing or synchronization failures are identified.\nPartner with development teams to investigate platform-specific defects and integration issues.\n3. SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Testing\nLead QA activities for eCommerce functionality implemented on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).\nValidate core commerce workflows, including:\nProduct catalog and product information management.\nProduct detail pages, product variants, and product attributes.\nCategory navigation, faceted search, filtering, and sorting.\nPricing, promotions, discounts, and coupon management.\nShopping cart and checkout.\nCustomer registration, authentication, and account management.\nPayment processing and order submission.\nInventory availability and fulfillment options.\nShipping, delivery, and order status.\nOrder history and customer service workflows.\nValidate product catalog synchronization, pricing accuracy, inventory updates, and order processing across integrated systems.\nTest SAP Commerce Cloud APIs, business services, and integrations with external applications.\nValidate business rules, exception handling, error messages, and transaction integrity.\nEnsure regression testing covers critical commerce functionality affected by code changes, configuration updates, and platform enhancements.\nCollaborate with developers to troubleshoot defects involving commerce services, APIs, configuration, and integration points.\n4. End-to-End Integration Testing\nDevelop and execute end-to-end test scenarios spanning Bloomreach, SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), and connected enterprise systems.\nValidate the complete customer journey from product discovery through checkout and order confirmation.\nTest integrations involving:\nProduct information management and catalog feeds.\nContent management and digital asset management.\nSearch and product recommendations.\nPricing and promotions.\nInventory and order management.\nPayment gateways.\nShipping, delivery, and fulfillment.\nCustomer identity and account management.\nAnalytics and customer experience monitoring.\nThird-party applications and APIs.\nVerify data accuracy, synchronization timing, error handling, retries, and recovery behavior across integrations.\nCoordinate integration testing with development teams, platform vendors, and third-party service providers.\nEnsure changes to one platform are assessed for downstream impacts on the other platform and the overall customer experience.\n5. Test Planning and Execution\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and regression suites.\nReview business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify gaps before development begins.\nEnsure test coverage is aligned with business priorities, technical risks, and release scope.\nCoordinate system integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation.\nEnsure appropriate test data, environments, access, and dependencies are available before testing begins.\nValidate functionality across supported desktop and mobile browsers and devices.\nTrack test execution progress, failures, blockers, and outstanding defects.\nEnsure test evidence and results are documented in accordance with established QA standards.\n6. Test Automation and AI-Assisted Testing\nDevelop and maintain a test automation strategy for Bloomreach, SAP Commerce Cloud, and integrated eCommerce workflows.\nIdentify high-value automation opportunities, particularly for critical customer journeys and repetitive regression scenarios.\nLead the development and maintenance of automated UI, API, and integration tests.\nIntegrate automated regression tests into CI/CD pipelines where appropriate.\nEvaluate testing tools and frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, and API testing frameworks.\nLeverage AI-assisted testing tools where appropriate to accelerate test creation, improve coverage, and identify potential defects.\nMonitor automation execution results, reliability, maintenance effort, and return on investment.\nEstablish measurable goals for automation coverage and testing productivity.\n7. Defect and Release Management\nEstablish and enforce defect management processes covering identification, documentation, prioritization, assignment, resolution, retesting, and closure.\nLead defect triage meetings with QA, Development, Product Management, and business stakeholders.\nEnsure defects contain clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, supporting evidence, and appropriate severity and priority.\nTrack defects discovered during development, system testing, UAT, and production support.\nAnalyze recurring defects and production incidents to identify root causes and preventive actions.\nCoordinate smoke testing, regression testing, and post-deployment validation for each release.\nPrepare release quality assessments summarizing test results, unresolved defects, outstanding risks, and readiness recommendations.\nEscalate critical quality risks and recommend corrective actions before production deployment.\n8. Performance, Accessibility, and Customer Experience\nCoordinate performance and load testing for high-traffic eCommerce workflows.\nMonitor relevant web performance metrics, including Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).\nValidate website responsiveness, usability, and consistent rendering across supported devices and browsers.\nCoordinate accessibility testing to support applicable WCAG standards and ADA-related requirements.\nValidate integrations with content delivery networks, image optimization services, analytics platforms, and other third-party applications.\nPartner with engineering teams to investigate page performance, API response times, caching, content delivery, and rendering issues.\nPrioritize quality issues that could negatively affect conversion rates, checkout completion, revenue, and customer satisfaction.\n9. Agile Delivery and Stakeholder Collaboration\nParticipate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.\nWork closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, Architects, and business stakeholders.\nEnsure QA estimates, test dependencies, and testing activities are incorporated into sprint and release plans.\nPromote a shift-left testing approach by engaging QA early in requirements analysis and solution design.\nCoordinate testing schedules and resource assignments across multiple workstreams.\nMaintain clear communication regarding testing progress, blockers, defect trends, and release risks.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives that enhance collaboration, predictability, and delivery quality.\n10. QA Metrics and Reporting\nEstablish dashboards and reports that provide visibility into testing progress and application quality.\nTrack test execution completion, pass/fail rates, defect trends, automation coverage, and outstanding risks.\nMonitor production defect leakage, defect reopening rates, escaped defects, and recurring issues.\nReport release readiness and quality trends to project leadership and business stakeholders.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce regression cycle time, improve test coverage, and increase QA productivity.\nUse metrics to drive measurable improvements in testing effectiveness and overall platform stability.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nSeven+ years of software QA and testing experience.\nThree+ years of QA leadership experience managing testing activities, teams, or complex application delivery initiatives.\nStrong experience testing enterprise eCommerce websites and transactional web applications.\nDemonstrated experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and/or Bloomreach in an eCommerce environment.\nExperience with functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and UAT.\nExperience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and quality standards.\nStrong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle.\nExperience with defect tracking and documentation tools such as Jira and
