Employees hired into this role should be comfortable with extended workdays and a schedule that may include weekends, overtime, and/or other operationally required schedule adjustments. Additional details regarding the 12-hour schedule will be communicated as the transition approaches.\n\nCompensation: $22 per hour plus $1.25 shift differential\n\nTHE ROLE\nThe CPP Cutting Operator is responsible for operating the Rosenthal or USUN Machine that fabricates prepreg rolls into sheets. This position is also responsible or the timely transfer of fabricated prepreg sheets in preparation for the tooling process. The CPP Cutting Operator is a B level position. B level positions are responsible for cross-training on A-B level positions within the CPP/Collation department.\n\nWHO WILL LOVE THIS JOB\nAn efficient worker, you enjoy having multiple priorities at one time and multitask without breaking a sweat \nA great teammate, you are able to contribute and thrive within a fast-paced environment\nA task-oriented teammate, you find deep satisfaction from independently checking things off your to do list\n\nTOP RESPONSIBILITIES \nReview and understand work orders.\nVerify information against customer profiles.\nSet-up prepreg rolls onto machine following proper procedures.\nEnter length specifications in machine and adjust slitters to the required width of the panels.\nMake any necessary adjustments including speed and air pressure as per procedure to ensure accurate cuts.\nRemove fabricated prepreg sheets from machine, stack accordingly, and move product to tooling area.\nInspect prepreg sheets for quality issues and take appropriate corrective action when needed.\nRelocate unused prepreg rolls back to staging area for restocking.\nMeet daily productivity requirements.\nComplete Production and Scrap Report form as needed.\nMaintain clean work area including vacuuming of dust after each roll and blade change.\nAssist other operators to ensure timely shipment of product.\nUse Lean/Six Sigma Methodologies to improve the process.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. \nBe able to Read and Write English \nSix Months of Manufacturing Experience \nPrevious experience using a PC.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nBasic Math.\nForklift Experience Plus\nAbility to Stand for 8 hours \nMust be able to lift 50 pounds.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing\nProficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication is essential\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS \nThis role may require standing for extended periods, frequent bending, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds.
