In addition, the Supervisor participates in developing and implementing strategic plans to improve plant performance. You are trusted internally by cross-functional partners, as well as externally by our customers, for your strategic inputs. \nA creative problem solver, you are energized by roadblocks and have a knack for troubleshooting problems in stride and solving them in a calm, cool, and collected manner. \n\nTOP RESPONSIBILITIES: \nProvide leadership and direction to the Operations team to meet all safety, quality, productivity, cost, and on-time shipment goals.\nDrive focus on safety as an integral part of the teams' day-to-day activities.\nAssure shift meetings and department audits are completed.\nWork with teams to analyze data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\nMotivate and develop by example.\nCommunicate goals and provide daily feedback on metrics.\nHold production teams and individuals accountable for consistently meeting performance metrics.\nCreate the linkages between production teams, maintenance, QA, engineering, and other functions.\nEnsure proper staffing coverage, work with Operations Manager and Human Resources to address staffing requirements and actions\nAct as a primary communication link for information flowing to and from the shift team.\nRespect diversity and promote good working relationships among all employees.\nAddress and resolve conflicts promptly.\nDevelop, document, and deliver appropriate counseling and discipline to individuals when requirements & performance are not met.\nMaintain employee training and performance records\nMust work production schedule, including weekends, as required. \n\nQUALIFICATIONS: \nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred.\n5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory role leading a department/ function with direct reports\nCreative and energetic individual with high professional standards who thrives in a demanding work environment.\nSuccessful track record in achieving results.\nDemonstrated ability to motivate and work with all levels in the organization.\nMust be organized, self-starter; must have analytical skills and good written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to prioritize while driving multiple projects and tasks simultaneously; demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills. \n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: \nCandidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills.\nAble to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.\nProficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication is essential. \n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS \nIn this role you maybe be required to stand up to 10 hours per shift and with frequent bending, reaching, and grasping.
