Establish standards and best practices for data modeling, transformation, and system design.\nDrive Platform Performance & ReliabilityEnsure high availability and performance of data systems through optimization, monitoring, and operational excellence. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the data engineering team, fostering continuous improvement and engineering excellence.\nParticipate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support mission-critical analytics in production.\n\nWhat we are looking for\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)\n8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics roles\n5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and Python, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines\n5+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS preferred: S3, Lambda, Athena, Aurora, Glue, Redshift)\nStrong expertise in relational data modeling, database design, and performance optimization (PostgreSQL preferred)\nExperience mentoring and developing engineers, fostering best practices, code quality, and a culture of continuous improvement.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions\nAbility to influence architectural decisions and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and business teams\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow or Dagster, and CI/CD pipelines\nProven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures and data platforms\nFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps best practices\nExperience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and observability tools\nThis employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position (ex: H-1B, F-1/CPT/OPT, O-1, E-3, TN, J, etc.).\n\nThe expected salary range for a Lead Data Engineer is $150,000 - $170,000 per year. We will also consider a Mid to Senior level Data Engineer. The pay range for the Mid to Senior level is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.
