Reporting to the Assembly Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This role will be supporting manufacturing issues on existing product designs and assist new hardware development in the early design phase, providing critical design for manufacturability input and supporting testing of these assemblies, while developing and implementing the plan to move from design/test into build/production.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop production procedures/processes and manage the transition of components and module assemblies from development to production.\nDevelop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet all requirements including safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.\nEnsure integration procedures are continuously evolving to reflect the most efficient assembly practices.\nLead team in production readiness reviews for transition from development into full-rate program production.\nAdvise team members on technical decisions related to assigned products and act as responsible manufacturing engineer for non-conformances and work instruction creation\nPart owner in change management process. Field ECN’s in order of impact to schedule\nResolve Manufacturing discrepancies in real time in order to provide timely path forward\nCollaborate with design engineering to provide manufacturability feedback and contribute to technical documentation, including drawings, process flows, and test specifications.\nDocument and provide resolution to non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement root cause corrective actions.\nIdentify capital tooling and work center capability needs and lead the efforts of standing up key production capabilities.\nDesign Manufacturing Support Equipment\nAuthor assembly instructions\nOversee calibration and certification of fluid ground support equipment relevant to propulsion and other fluids subsystems. \nRepresent ispace culture resolve independently or escalating as appropriate. \nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related discipline.\n\nMinimum Five (5) years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering function within a high detail manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience working in collegiate project teams (e.g. Formula SAE, Hybrid Electric Vehicle) and/or professional experience Professional experience with instrumentation and data acquisition (e.g. SPICE, SQL, and/or National Instruments hardware)\n\nWhat Makes You Stand Out\nDemonstrated experience working in a highly adaptive and iterative environment\n\nDesign software experience (AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred)\n\n3 Years of relevant experience in propulsion or fluid systems engineering for aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems in line with engineering level.\n\nExperience conducting mixed pressure pneumatic test operations\n\nDirect experience in spacecraft or launch vehicle integration, with an emphasis on fluid and propellant systems.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of operations, engineering and quality.\n\nStrong level of accountability and integrity with excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nStrong working knowledge of ISO, AS9100 and quality control standards.\n\nAbility to work with a team along with providing guidance to drive improvements towards process efficiency.\n\nExperience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion components (e.g., thrusters, valves, tanks, feed systems, environmental control
