The position is based in Warsaw and is part of an international team responsible for operating and transforming a secure, stable and scalable network infrastructure across multiple regions and business units.\nThe role focuses on turning network operations into reliable, repeatable and well-documented automated processes. This includes developing and maintaining automation workflows, scripts and Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Nautobot, Python, Ansible and Terraform, while also supporting Azure networking and hybrid connectivity use cases. The position works closely with network engineers, cloud teams, security teams and service providers to improve configuration consistency, data quality, deployment speed and operational resilience.\nThe key contribution of this role is to reduce manual effort, improve network reliability and enable a more standardized global network operating model. The Network Automation Engineer will act as a technical expert for automation and source-of-truth concepts, while also bringing strong network engineering knowledge across technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Meraki, UniFi, VPN, routing and cloud connectivity. The role requires a structured mindset, strong technical ownership and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team environment.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\nDesign, develop and maintain network automation solutions for global network operations, deployment and lifecycle processes.\n\nBuild and improve automation workflows using tools such as Nautobot, Python, Ansible, Terraform and related automation frameworks.\n\nDevelop Nautobot as a source of truth for network inventory, IP address management, device data, configuration data and automation workflows.\n\nCreate and maintain scripts, playbooks, templates and pipelines to automate network changes, reporting, validation and documentation.\n\nSupport Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment approaches for network and cloud connectivity environments, including Microsoft Azure networking use cases.\n\nWork with global network technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Meraki, UniFi, VPN, IPsec, BGP, LAN, WAN and dynamic routing.\n\nTroubleshoot complex network, automation and data-quality issues across tools, platforms and global infrastructure environments.\n\nContribute to standardization, configuration consistency and lifecycle management across the worldwide network landscape.\n\nWork closely with international IT teams, cloud teams, security teams, service providers and local stakeholders to deliver reliable automation outcomes.\n\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, automation standards, operational procedures and reusable templates.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve network operations, monitoring, automation maturity and service quality.\n\nKey qualifications:\nMust have:\nStrong hands-on experience in network automation, network engineering or infrastructure automation within complex enterprise or global environments.\n\nStrong scripting and automation skills, especially with Python.\n\nPractical experience with Ansible for infrastructure or network automation.\n\nPractical experience with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tooling.\n\nExperience with source-of-truth, network inventory or IPAM concepts; hands-on experience with Nautobot is highly preferred.\n\nSolid understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, VPN, IPsec, routing, static and dynamic routing, and BGP.\n\nGood understanding of next-generation firewalls, especially Palo Alto Networks.\n\nExperience with cloud or hybrid network connectivity, ideally Microsoft Azure networking.\n\nExperience working with APIs, structured data formats and tool integrations.\n\nGood understanding of version control and collaborative development practices, ideally using Git.\n\nExperience in troubleshooting complex issues across automation workflows, network platforms, connectivity and data quality.\n\nAbility to work in English within an international team.\n\nNice to have:\nHands-on experience with Nautobot plugins, jobs, data models or automation integrations.\n\nExperience with Cisco Meraki and UniFi network environments.\n\nExperience with Azure Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.\n\nExperience with network monitoring tools, ideally Checkmk.\n\nBasic Linux administration knowledge and confidence working with Linux-based systems or command-line environments.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, linting or validation of infrastructure code.\n\nExperience with network configuration backup, compliance checks or automated configuration validation.\n\nFamiliarity with containerized environments, Docker or self-hosted automation tools.\n\nExperience in international or globally distributed IT environments.\n\nRelevant network, cloud, security or automation certifications are an advantage.\n\nPersonal skills:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex technical topics and turn them into practical automation solutions.\n\nClear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with international teams, stakeholders and service providers.\n\nHigh attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership for data quality, automation reliability, network stability and service quality.\n\nCollaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute positively to a global team environment.\n\nWhy ISS\nAt ISS, we are more than just a service provider of cleaning, food, workplace and technical services, we are a partner in our customers’ success.
