The job consists in ensuring that the Fashion Business MA MBA programme equippes students with the necessary business, creative, technical and soft skills, to develop a successful career in the Fashion Business industry. The Programme Leader will work together to develop Istituto Marangoni programmes to the highest level of excellence.\nKey purpose of the responsibility\nTo ensure the effective delivery of the programme;\nTo undertake teaching duties alongside your responsibilities as Programme Leader in line with the services provided by the Company;\nTo ensure that the Company complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements to maintain its current certifications and accreditations, and obtain such further accreditations as may be necessary or beneficial to the Company in the future. Within this purpose you will actively organize, follow up all the steps of the validation process in order to achieve and maintain it;\nTo uphold the institution’s policy on transparency and listening to the student voice;\nTo implement changes to the curriculum, including course content and methods of delivery and assessment where the school deems appropriate;\nTo actively support the institution’s policy on attendance, retention rules and regulations;\nTo actively promote additional activities such as museum / fairs / industry visits/ shows and exhibitions at national and International level.\nTo promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student wellbeing, creativity, and academic achievement.\nTo ensure student feedback mechanisms are meaningful and feed into continuous improvement processes.\nCurriculum\nTo develop, design and plan the delivery and assessment of the curriculum and new courses as required;\nTo develop the curriculum in line with Istituto Marangoni requirements and Quality Enhancement;\nTo support the designing of the timetable in line with module and assessment schedules;\nTo support recruitment of consultant, FTE and visiting lecturers and ensure delivery of stated learning outcomes;\nTo direct and support the academic staff in the delivery and assessment of the course;\nTo support the development of learning materials and resources;\nTo actively participate in teaching the key subjects of the course;\nTo deliver key lectures when required internally and at international level.\nTo integrate innovation, digital strategy, sustainability, and future business models into the curriculum to reflect the evolving fashion business landscape.\nTo encourage the adoption of new digital tools, platforms, and blended learning methodologies.\nTo foster international perspectives within the programme and support global opportunities, cross-campus collaboration, or international partnerships.\nCourse Management and Quality Assurance\nTo organise and participate to periodic meetings/activities at school level and Group’s level when required;\nTo oganise and record meetings with individual students when necessary, student representatives and the teaching team on a weekly basis;\nTo implement Quality Assurance procedures to monitor and improve the quality of course provision implement and write and review the Continuous Improvement Plan with academic team;\nTo liaise with External Examiners\nTo organise and chair:Programme Reflective Forum (3 times per academic year);\nProgramme Committee (min 3 times per academic year);\n\nTo actively participate in:\nUnit Boards;\nSchool committees and Boards\nInformal student / staff consultative meetings (min 3 times per academic year);\nTo attend Field Meetings and Education Board meetings;\nTo readily give feedback (written and verbal) on staff, student conduct and academic performance.\nStudent Admissions\nTo present course overview at Open Days or other similar recruitment events when required;\nTo support the admissions office in the selection of students to be admitted to the courses pertaining to subject specialism.\nResearch\nTo develop personal research area of specialism in the fashion subject area and links to pedagogic developments;\nTo maintain Continuing Professional Development and promote this within the teaching team.\nStrategic & Industry Engagement\nTo proactively engage with industry professionals, alumni, and external stakeholders to ensure the programme remains relevant to global fashion business trends and evolving market demands.\nTo identify opportunities for collaborative projects (industry projects), guest lectures, and real-world business challenges that enrich student learning.\nOther\nTo support the coordination of events and materials regarding exhibitions, shows, and publications;\nTo attend graduation, main institutional events and relevant exhibitions.\nEducation and Competencies\nMinimum Master Degree\nMinimum 7 years of experience in the UK Higher Education sector in academic manangerial role\nKnowledge of the fashion industry in a range of company context\nProfessional background in Business, Marketing and/or communication\nExcellent written and spoken English\nLeadership, effectiveness and responsiveness approach\nProgramme writing ability, excellent spoken and written communication, public speaking\nNetwork in academic environment and ability to create partnerships\nPeople management skills and experience: tutors’ recruiting, development and engagement\nOrganizational skills, flexibility and ability to manage unforeseen events\nIT knowledge: Adobe, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Mac\nDesirable but not
