# Java Back-End Developer

IT House is looking for a Java Back-End Developer for a direct placement with an end client in the Transport & Logistics sector, located in Porto. Main Responsibilities Contribute to the development of a next-generation transport management platform; Apply modern methods, tools and technologies to deliver impactful projects; Develop new and modernized components using container technology, suitable databases and cloud services; Act as a technical reference within the community, contributing innovative ideas across the organization. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience as a developer; Extensive experience developing Java-based backend applications; Good knowledge of the Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot; Experience developing RESTful web services and APIs; Solid knowledge of databases (SQL, Hibernate and JPA); Knowledge of microservices architecture and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ) is an advantage; Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is desirable; Strong problem-solving skills and a structured way of working; Good English skills and ability to collaborate in an agile environment
