Senior PMO Manager with German – IT Projects

IT-Impulse is expanding to Bulgaria, with an office in Sofia, where we are building a local team of IT specialists. We represent a Software Engineering division of the international company JobImpulse GmbH with more than 9.000 employees in 51 locations in 12 countries and we act as an intermediary between the IT software development department and highly qualified IT specialists on the job market.
IT-Impulse with its offices in Seville (Spain) and Kosice (Slovakia) is the point of contact when it comes to IT Outsourcing and Nearshoring.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior PMO Manager to lead and enhance our IT project governance, ensuring successful delivery of complex initiatives. This role requires strong communication skills, both internally and externally, and the ability to align business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
– Establish, develop, and manage PMO frameworks, processes, and standards for IT projects
– Drive project portfolio governance, including prioritization, budgeting, and resource allocation
– Provide transparent reporting to senior management and stakeholders
– Identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and issues across projects
– Act as a central communication hub between internal teams and external partners/clients
– Facilitate steering committees and executive meetings
– Coach and support project managers to ensure consistent delivery standards
– Implement and optimize PM tools, KPIs, and best practices
Your Profile
– 5–10+ years of experience in PMO, project, or program management in IT environments
– Proven track record in managing complex IT programs or portfolios
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (internal & external)
– Strong analytical and organizational abilities
– Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Clarity)
– Ability to work in international and cross-functional environments
– Fluent in English and German
