The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences for mission applications and business solutions.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, business analysts, solutions architects, Power Platform developers, and end users to understand user needs and translate those needs into effective user interfaces, workflows, prototypes, and design specifications.\nThe position will support the design of applications and digital experiences leveraging Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and other enterprise technologies. The ideal candidate will understand both user experience principles and the practical considerations of implementing designs within low-code and enterprise application platforms.\nKey Responsibilties:\nDesign intuitive, efficient, and user-centered interfaces for mission and business applications.\nCollaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand user needs, workflows, pain points, and mission objectives.\nConduct user research, interviews, surveys, observations, and other discovery activities as appropriate.\nTranslate user requirements and business processes into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.\nDevelop responsive and accessible user interfaces for web-based and Power Platform applications.\nDesign user experiences for Power Apps Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.\nDevelop navigation structures, information architectures, screen layouts, forms, dashboards, and interaction patterns.\nCreate low-, mid-, and high-fidelity prototypes to validate proposed solutions before development.\nDevelop and maintain UI/UX design standards, reusable components, patterns, and templates.\nApply consistent visual design principles across applications and digital products.\nWork closely with Power Platform developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and implemented accurately.\nProvide developers with detailed design specifications, assets, interaction requirements, and acceptance criteria.\nParticipate in application demonstrations, design reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.\nConduct usability testing and gather feedback from representative users.\nAnalyze usability findings and recommend improvements to application functionality and user experience.\nReview developed applications to ensure they conform to approved designs and established usability standards.\nIdentify accessibility, usability, navigation, and visual design issues and recommend corrective actions.\nDesign dashboards and data visualizations that communicate information effectively to users and leadership.\nCollaborate with Power BI developers to establish effective layouts, visualization strategies, filtering approaches, and information hierarchies.\nSupport development of design systems and reusable UI components for Power Platform solutions.\nMaintain design documentation, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, research findings, and design specifications.\nEnsure designs account for security, privacy, role-based access, and other applicable government requirements.\nSupport continuous improvement of existing applications through usability assessments and user feedback.\nAssist business analysts and developers in resolving requirements or design ambiguities.\nStay current with UI/UX design practices, accessibility standards, Microsoft design guidance, and Power Platform capabilities.\nPerform other design and user-experience activities, as required.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.\n4+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, product design, interaction design, or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience designing web-based, enterprise, or business applications.\nExperience developing:User flows\nWireframes\nPrototypes\nHigh-fidelity mockups\nDesign specifications\nInformation architectures\n\nExperience conducting usability testing and incorporating user feedback into designs.\nStrong understanding of user-centered design principles and interaction design.\nExperience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or comparable tools.\nExperience designing responsive interfaces for multiple screen sizes and devices.\nUnderstanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.\nExperience collaborating with developers and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.\nAbility to translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences.\nStrong visual design, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently while effectively collaborating with business analysts, developers, architects, and government stakeholders.\nAbility to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience designing applications using Microsoft Power Apps.\nExperience with Power Apps Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.\nExperience designing Power BI dashboards and reports.\nExperience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.\nExperience developing or contributing to a reusable design system or component library.\nExperience with Fluent UI or other enterprise design systems.\nExperience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or basic front-end development concepts.\nFamiliarity with Power Fx and Power Platform capabilities.\nExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.\nExperience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.\nExperience supporting U.S. Army, DoD, or federal government programs.\nFamiliarity with Section 508, WCAG, or other federal accessibility requirements.\nFamiliarity with DoD cybersecurity, privacy, and information-handling requirements.\nExperience designing applications for controlled or high-security environments.\nExperience with data visualization and information design.\nUI/UX,
