ITC is located in Fairfax, VA and offers an outstanding compensation and benefits plan and a challenging and rewarding professional work environment.\nWe are seeking an experienced Law Clerk II to support ITC Federal’s work for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under the anticipated MEGA 6 automated litigation support (ALS) program. This is a fully remote position supporting DOJ’s complex litigation mission.\nImportant: This opening is being established in connection with the MEGA 6 contract vehicle award itself. ITC Federal must still be awarded individual task orders under the vehicle before employees can be onboarded. Accordingly, this position is full-time and contingent upon both contract award and the award of the applicable task order.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW:\nWorks under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Manager performing complex legal research; preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.\nPROGRAM CONTEXT:\nThis position supports the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under the anticipated MEGA 6 procurement. MEGA 6 is expected to continue DOJ’s multiple-award contract vehicle for automated litigation support (ALS) services, following the structure of the MEGA 5 contract. These contracts are designed to provide DOJ offices, boards, divisions, and other federal agencies with information technology, professional services, and litigation support tools to manage complex legal proceedings efficiently.\nResponsibilities\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nActs independently and/or as a team leader on larger projects.\nResponsibilities may include acting as primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff.\nQualifications\nREQUIRED:\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to start (candidates are not required to be cleared at the time of application).\nAuthorized to work in the United States.\nAbility to work effectively in a fully remote environment.\nMust have law degree.\nOnly the Contracting Office can approve a waiver to the law degree requirement, such as comparable combination of education and experience.\nMust have at least two to three years of progressively more responsible experience on litigation support projects including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.\nRequires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.\nRequires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.\nMust have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.\nRole also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThis is a fully remote position;
