ITC is located in Fairfax, VA and offers an outstanding compensation and benefits plan and a challenging and rewarding professional work environment.\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to support ITC Federal’s work for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under the anticipated MEGA 6 automated litigation support (ALS) program. This is a fully remote position supporting DOJ’s complex litigation mission.\nImportant: This opening is being established in connection with the MEGA 6 contract vehicle award itself. ITC Federal must still be awarded individual task orders under the vehicle before employees can be onboarded. Accordingly, this position is full-time and contingent upon both contract award and the award of the applicable task order.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW:\nLead Contractor employee responsible for system implementation, orchestrating installation and testing.\nPROGRAM CONTEXT:\nThis position supports the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) under the anticipated MEGA 6 procurement. MEGA 6 is expected to continue DOJ’s multiple-award contract vehicle for automated litigation support (ALS) services, following the structure of the MEGA 5 contract. These contracts are designed to provide DOJ offices, boards, divisions, and other federal agencies with information technology, professional services, and litigation support tools to manage complex legal proceedings efficiently.\nResponsibilities\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nWorks with other senior level Contractor technical staff, including Systems Engineers and Technical Analysts, to ensure that the system as designed and implemented meets the overall system objectives.\nResponsible for the operation and maintenance of IT systems and facilities set up by the Government to provide automated litigation support IT resources to specific cases.\nMay be responsible for establishing systems and facilities.\nFor existing systems and facilities, responsible for keeping the systems running; monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing system performance, including making recommendations for improving performance; performing scheduled system backups; assigning user IDs and passwords; allocating and tracking disk space; providing consulting support and advice to, and coordinating with IT users responsible for specific applications/databases on the servers; identifying and ordering needed supplies, hardware, software and accessories; and performing hardware and software upgrades.\nImplements and enforces system, facility, and data security measures, including resources and procedures for disaster recovery.\nAdministers not only hardware and operating system software, but also database and other applications software.\nCoordinates with the COR and DOJ technical staff on all these issues, and coordinates with the DOJ office automation network administration staff on issues having to do with the network itself.\nSupervises and manages subordinate staff.\nReports on progress.\nDevelops tools for system-wide use in developing applications; prepares system documentation.\nQualifications\nREQUIRED:\nAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to start (candidates are not required to be cleared at the time of application).\nAuthorized to work in the United States.\nAbility to work effectively in a fully remote environment.\nAt least five years of hands-on, directly applicable experience actually doing the work of implementing the kinds of systems being set up - e.g., UNIX, Windows, Network Storage Solutions, etc. - will usually be expected.\nMust have actually have done the work of designing, obtaining equipment and software, installing, integrating, testing, etc., in the environment required.\nMust have experience with large systems with a complex mix of operating systems and functions.\nMust have a good understanding of the specific applications and application software, e.g., Oracle, Relativity or other web hosting platforms, etc. CNE certification highly desirable.\nAt least one year of experience setting up large scale database management applications, using the applicable database management software.\nExperience in storage technology planning, performance capacity planning and modeling, applications planning, human factors issues, distributed processing, and business process analysis.\nRequires in-depth knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation networks and PC and server based databases and applications.\nRequires in-depth knowledge of the Government's security requirements.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills required.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nLitigation support experience highly valued.\nSupervisory experience very strongly preferred.\nUndergraduate degree strongly preferred;
