As a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution committed to pioneering digital transformation. You will play a crucial role in accelerating the migration of Markets applications from traditional data centres to private cloud environments, shaping the future of resilient, scalable banking solutions.
Your main responsibilities:
- Accelerate the migration of applications to the private cloud using standardized platforms, automation, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement resilient, high-performance solutions that enhance reliability and operational efficiency.
- Automate manual, repetitive tasks across provisioning, deployment, and support to streamline processes and increase automation coverage.
- Develop proactive capacity planning models to ensure scalability and performance, addressing future demands ahead of time.
- Drive improvements by analyzing operational metrics, refining SLIs/SLOs, and reducing incident recurrence through root cause analysis.
- Promote continuous delivery standards to minimize release-related incidents and support agile deployment pipelines.
- Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance troubleshooting, scripting, monitoring, and documentation practices.
- Lead and support training initiatives to ensure team skills remain aligned with evolving cloud and automation technologies.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud migration projects.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, Rundeck.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes migration, monitoring, and observability tools like OTEL, Elastic, Grafana, and Kibana.
- Knowledge of networking, proxies, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and middleware technologies including Kafka, Solace, IBM MQ, and NGINX.
- Practical scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation workflows.
- Broad experience across enterprise infrastructure, cloud, storage, security, and operating systems (Linux RHEL, Windows, Azure, etc.).
It is a strong plus if you also have:
- Certifications in cloud platforms or DevOps methodologies.
- Experience applying AI tools like GitHub Copilot to operational workflows.
Languages required for the role:
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
