As a Senior Software Engineer – Platform Control Automation, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial services organization committed to redefining banking technology. Your role will focus on building scalable automation solutions that enhance platform management, ensuring seamless and secure customer experiences. Your main responsibilities:

• Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver innovative control automation solutions.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders across Germany, France, and worldwide teams to align development strategies.
• Develop and maintain APIs, databases, and backend services to support platform controls.
• Deploy automation solutions within complex HSBC technology environments, ensuring robustness and security.
• Contribute actively to fostering a strong engineering culture through best practices and innovation.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
• Maintain documentation and assist in troubleshooting to optimize system performance.
• Stay updated on latest industry trends in control systems, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with senior leadership capability.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Developer Platforms and Hosting Platforms (cloud and internal).
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (polyglot engineering skills).
• Experience with API development, database design, and backend systems.
• Basic understanding of Linux and web technologies.
• Familiarity with how controls influence software products.
• Fluent English skills, with excellent communication for a global environment.
• Flexibility to work across time zones.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Previous experience deploying within HSBC or similar financial institutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and hosting infrastructure.

Language Required for the role:
English — fluent command required.
