The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with prototype setup, thermal and acoustic testing, thermocouple installation, and wind tunnel operations, along with a track record of producing accurate test results and clear technical documentation.\nLocation: 100% onsite - San Jose, CA\nPay Range: $23 -$24.23 (hourly)\nWe provide comprehensive medical benefits, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more. Please note that we are only considering direct W2 candidates at this time, as we are unable to offer sponsorship.\nResponsibilities:\nConduct laboratory testing and thermal validation of electro-mechanical and telecommunications products.\nSet up prototypes for thermal and acoustic testing, including thermocouple installation and instrumentation.\nOperate wind tunnel equipment to support thermal and acoustic testing and validation activities.\nPerform testing related to power management, heat sinks, and fan-speed performance.\nAnalyze and document test results using Microsoft tools and established reporting practices.\nCollaborate with hardware engineering and cross-functional teams to support product validation activities.\nCommunicate test findings, observations, and technical recommendations through clear written and verbal reporting.\nInternal Responsibilities:\nAttend regular internal practice community meetings.\nCollaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.\nComplete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).\nBuild out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.\nAttend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).\nWork with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills:\nLaboratory testing experience with electro-mechanical and telecommunications products.\nExperience working as a Thermal Validation Engineer for electromechanical products.\nExperience setting up prototypes for thermal and acoustic testing.\nExperience with thermocouple installation and related test instrumentation.\nExperience operating wind tunnel equipment for testing and validation.\nPreferred Qualifications and Skills:\nExperience with telecommunications and networking product testing involving power management, heat sinks, and fan-speed testing.\nKnowledge of telecommunications test standards, including GR and NEBS.\nHardware engineering experience.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExperience using Microsoft tools for technical reporting and documentation.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.\nCompany Description\nAbout itD: We are part of a new generation of consulting and software development company that blends diversity, innovation, and integrity with real business results.
