You will operate at the intersection of software engineering, platform development and solution architecture, with a strong focus on backend development. You will help define the architecture, but more importantly, you will translate architectural concepts into working software and reusable platform components.\nWhat will you do?\nAs part of the team, you will: \nDesign and build backend components in Python/.NET that form the foundation of our platform.\nHelp shape the software architecture of our Insights and AI platform.\nTranslate architectural concepts into concrete, working technical solutions.\nDevelop reusable platform components that can support multiple Insights solutions.\nCreate and validate proofs of concept to test architectural and technical approaches.\nBuild technical components and lightweight adapters where needed.\nDesign and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.\nWork with Infrastructure as Code to ensure repeatable and scalable deployments.\nHelp establish common platform capabilities that support requirements around areas such as compliance, including the European AI Act.\nPrepare mature solutions for handover to the Azure Engineering Team for production management.\nOccasionally join customer discussions to provide technical expertise, while remaining primarily focused on the platform and its internal development.\nWhat we're looking for\nYou are a strong software engineer who enjoys thinking beyond an individual application. \nYou combine hands-on development skills with architectural thinking and like turning concepts into solutions that actually work. \nIdeally, you bring: \n5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, platform development or a related technical role.\nA strong background in backend software development, preferably with Python/.NET.\nExperience designing software components and thinking about architecture, scalability and reusability.\nGood knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform services.\nExperience with cloud deployments.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code.\nThe ability to develop and validate technical concepts through proofs of concept.\nThe ability to take technical ownership and provide direction to other engineers.\nStrong communication skills in English.\nPreferably, you are based in Belgium and able to regularly work from our office.\nNice to have Experience with Data & AI-assisted development.\nExperience building shared platforms, frameworks or reusable components.\nFamiliarity with Azure
