of the role\nThe candidate for this role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure by administering servers, networks, Network & Infrastructure Administration\nAdminister and maintain servers, including operating system installation, software deployment, patching, firmware updates, hardware upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, backups, restores, account management, file share permissions, printer configurations, and performance optimization.\n\nProvide desktop, network, server, and infrastructure support across the organization's operations.\n\nPerform system upgrades, infrastructure enhancements, solution design, and technology rollouts.\n\nManage server environments, virtualization platforms, databases, and network infrastructure.\n\nContinuously evaluate IT processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.\n\nInvestigate complex technical issues, implement permanent solutions, and reduce recurring system incidents.\n\nSystems Strategy & Planning\nCollaborate with network and ICT teams to ensure reliable operation of business systems and infrastructure.\n\nWork closely with management and business stakeholders to identify business requirements, define system objectives, and resolve technology-related challenges.\n\nSystems Acquisition & Deployment\nDesign, deploy, and implement new applications, operating systems, and software enhancements.\n\nConduct cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for proposed technology solutions.\n\nResearch hardware and software products to support procurement decisions.\n\nLiaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to procure and implement IT solutions.\n\nSystems Operational Management\nAssess system effectiveness and implement strategies to improve performance, availability, and scalability.\n\nDevelop system architecture documentation, technical specifications, diagrams, and implementation plans to support technology initiatives.\n\nCustomer Support\nDeliver high-quality IT support to internal users across multiple locations.\n\nEnsure agreed service levels are achieved while identifying opportunities for continual service improvement.\n\nManage IT service requests and keep users informed of incident progress and resolution.\n\nMaintain high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive and professional technical support.\n\nDraw Operations\nSupport data center operations during draw events on a rotational basis.\n\nMonitor draw operations, complete operational checklists, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with organizational and statutory requirements.\n\nEnsure accurate communication between operational environments to minimize operational and financial risks.\n\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7 or equivalent) in Information Technology or a related field.\n\nMinimum of 4 years' experience in IT Server Engineering and Systems Administration.\n\nAt least 2 years' experience in IT Infrastructure Management within Data Center environments.\n\nAt least 2 years' experience in Network Management.\n\nProfessional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, MCSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.\n\nExperience within the lottery or gaming industry is an added advantage.\n\nStrong knowledge of server administration, networking, virtualization, IT infrastructure, IT security, and IT service management.\n\nProven experience in systems design, implementation, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting.\n\nStrong analytical, communication, customer service, project management, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively
