Join us.\nItron’s Global Business Centre (GBS) in Cork is responsible for end-to-end activities for International Accounting. Our Senior Accountant reports to one of our County Controller Accounting Managers and will take ownership or part ownership of one or more entities within EMEA.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nResponsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of month end close and accounting transactions; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation and resolution.\nResponsible for ensuring that financial records are in compliance with US and Local GAAP.\nSupport SOX Compliance, and internal/external audits within GBS working closely with advisors and auditors\nResponsible for the timely preparation of local statutory accounts, direct/corporate tax returns and tax provision calculations.\nAchieve targets for high performance that meet or exceed Service Level Agreements\nComplete monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis and reporting for Corporate HQ for the entities under your responsibility. \nEnsure the ongoing implementation & integrity of all accounting transactions, including complex transactions, per agreed processes, procedures, and controls\nActively participate in a continuous improvement culture through analysing accounting processes and procedures for greater efficiency and work with the team to generate and implement solutions\nBuild relationships with and key support contacts in EMEA and within the wider GBS team\nMeet individual objectives and contribute to the achievement of the team’s overall objectives\nAd-hoc project work as required.\nAvailable for limited travel when necessary\nRequired Skills & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, Qualified Accountant with an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or similar.\nRelevant experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Controllership, or a related finance function. \nKnowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Oracle or similar.\nPrevious experience in fast paced multinational environments, previous experience in Shared Service Centre is preferred.\nWhat We Offer\nPurpose: Opportunity to create a more resourceful world by working on the 21st century’s biggest challenges: managing water, energy, and gas. \nCareer: Exposure to a global organization with opportunities for professional growth and cross-functional collaboration. \nDevelopment: Study support, continuous learning opportunities, and sponsorship of relevant professional memberships and subscriptions. \nBenefits: Competitive compensation package including private health insurance, company pension plan, hybrid working arrangements, and additional local benefits.\nDepending on your experience, this role is expected to offer between gross 60,000 EUR and70,000 EUR annually.
