Join us.\nAs part of an international and multicultural Firmware organization and based in our Liberty Lake, Washington or Waseca, Minnesota site, you participate actively in the launch of new projects and in the customization of existing technologies.\nAs a Firmware Engineer, you are engaged with the local team in all phases of the development lifecycle for a wide range of solutions, from residential and light commercial & industrial products to communication systems.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nOperating in a rigorous development environment with regular, internal integration and external customer-facing system releases.\nAssisting in design, documentation, development, debugging, validation and maintenance of code.\nImplementing standards-compliant (ISO, IEEE, etc.) features within approved regulatory frameworks such as FCC and UL.\nDeveloping firmware and associated unit tests in C/C++.\nIdentifying, analyzing, documenting and resolving defects, errors and inconsistencies in firmware using standard practices and procedures.\nSupporting products after they’ve been deployed to the field across their 20+-year lifetime: from initial programming to routine upgrades to low-battery end-of-life support.\nHands-on debugging in the hardware lab.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\nC/C++\nAt least one scripting language such as Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Linux shell, C#\nEmbedded programming, RTOS, assembly\nComputer architecture, RF, network protocol, layer models, communications between devices or tasks\nVersion control\nTravel: 0-5%\nPhysical Demands:\nThis is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
