This internship provides an opportunity to work with HR technology, workforce data, and global stakeholders while contributing to projects that support Itron's mission in the utilities and energy technology sector.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nSupport People Analytics projects and routine reporting by collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing workforce and HR data to identify trends and actionable insights. \nAssist in developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations that help leaders make data-driven decisions. \nPartner with HR, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and other global business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver meaningful analytics solutions. \nIdentify and apply emerging AI and machine learning techniques to existing datasets to identify predictive patterns and generate insights that go beyond standard dashboards. \nPrototype and pilot AI-powered reporting tools to translate complex data sets into actionable stories and recommendations for HR and business leadership. \nSupport data preparation, cleansing, and quality assurance activities across HR systems while demonstrating accountability for data accuracy and integrity. \nAssist with the development of presentations and summaries that communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. \nCollaborate across global teams to support HR technology enhancements, reporting automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. \nApply customer-centric thinking to understand stakeholder needs and deliver insights that support business outcomes. \nUphold data privacy, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all analyses and interactions. \nDemonstrate Itron's values by working authentically, collaboratively, accountably, agilely, and innovatively in support of HR and business objectives. \nRequired Skills & Experience\nEnrolled in a Bachelor's or graduate level degree program in Human Resources, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. \nStrong technical aptitude and demonstrated experience working with data, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence tools. \nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting. \nExperience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. \nFamiliarity with SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools used to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. \nAbility to analyze complex information, identify patterns, and communicate findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. \nProfessional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders. \nDemonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in an agile, fast-paced environment. \nCommitment to inclusive practices, confidentiality, data privacy, and ethical decision-making. \nPreferred Skills & Experience\nPrevious internship, research, academic project, or work experience involving people analytics, workforce analytics, HRIS, or business intelligence. \nExperience working with HR systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, or similar platforms. \nKnowledge of workforce metrics, organizational reporting, talent analytics, or employee experience data. \nExperience creating dashboards, automated reports, or data visualizations for stakeholders. \nExposure to a global business environment and collaboration across regions, cultures, and functions. \nInterest in leveraging innovative technologies and analytics to improve employee and business outcomes within the Utilities & Energy technology industry. \nDuration: 40 hours per week, Summer 2027\nLocation: Liberty Lake, WA (Hybrid; 2 days per week onsite) state minimum wage up to $44.23/hr\nItron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.
