Join us.\nOur West Union, SC manufacturing plant is looking for an RF Design Engineer to join our Wireless Hardware R&D team. In this role, you will design, modify and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. In addition, you will serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. As an RF Design Engineer, your Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle, from product release through maintenance of the product and end of life decisions. Lastly, you will promote investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities and ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nDevelop new products, support existing products and improve processes, specifically related to RF and communication design\nLead RF circuit design from concept to production for low cost wireless communications product-line - complete radio transceiver design and layout including RF PA, LNA, RF filters and matching, synthesizers, VCO's and mixers.\nConduct RF circuit measurements using laboratory spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.\nVerify that designs meet requirements through analysis, simulation, and measurement. Compare results to theory and documents results.\nCarry out field studies and system test activities.\nProvide design and project support in the areas of project leadership, regulation, reliability, and components selections. Provide technical support to factory, service and other internal departments.\nCoordinate and verify the work of support staff (technicians and CAD Designers).\nMay lead projects of limited scope.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering or equivalent is required.\nThis position requires minimum 5 years of related industrial experience.\nMust have in-depth understanding of electronic circuits, RF circuits and Microwave theory.\nMust have a good understanding of RF system and wireless communication system.\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\nA Master’s Degree in related fields is highly preferred.\nRF Certification experience.\nExperienced with communication theory ad digital signal processing.\nExperienced with advanced modeling and simulation.\nTravel: 1 - 10%\nPhysical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.\nBenefits Info:\nThis position also includes a competitive benefit package including; financial, social, health and wellbeing programs, paid vacation, 401k matching, employee stock purchase program, hybrid work schedule, and more!\nItron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.
