Find out today - www.its4logistics.com.\nPosition Summary\nThe Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing vendor relationships, overseeing the procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods required to support multiple Distribution Services campuses. This role serves as the primary liaison between ITS, vendors, and internal stakeholders, fostering strong supplier partnerships while driving cost-effective purchasing decisions and maintaining service continuity.\nThe Procurement Specialist will initiate, place, and track purchase orders again, monitor supplier performance, resolve procurement issues, negotiate with vendors when appropriate, and collaborate closely with Operations to minimize disruptions to warehouse activities. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain standardized purchasing practices and vendor management processes to ensure consistency and operational excellence across campuses.\nPrinciple Accountabilities\nCreate, place, and track purchase orders for a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment supporting multiple clients across a single ITS Distribution Services warehouse campus\nMonitor vendor performance, including delivery reliability, product quality, responsiveness, and service levels, escalating concerns and implementing corrective actions as needed.\nSource new vendors and evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, quality, and service to support business needs\nAssist in negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, service agreements, and other commercial terms to maximize value while maintaining quality and service expectations.\nCommunicate regularly with Operations and Administrative teams, handling purchase requests and assisting with questions related to past purchases\nInterface with clients, as required, to place potential purchases at their request\nAssist in creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to purchasing and vendor management\nOther duties as assigned\nPosition Requirements\nRequirements for this position include, but are not limited to:\nTwo + years of procurement experience, preferably in a distribution center setting\nExcellent organizational skills and problem resolution skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nSolid understanding of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)\nPositive, team-first attitude and strong work ethic\nDemonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize needs for multiple business groups simultaneously\nPhysical Demands\nConstantly operates a computer, phone, and other office productivity machinery.\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods.\nClose visual acuity is required for data analysis, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.\nRequired to walk, stand, bend, or reach.\nWill be exposed to typical warehouse environments (varying temperatures, moderate noise) when inspecting inventory or meeting with logistics personnel.\nFLSA Status:
