You are expected to be an expert in streaming video in a challenging channel environment. Your contributions will make a pronounced difference to future embedded products.\n Required skills:\n Engineering experience, at least 5 years\n Effective communication\n Experience hiring engineers\n Embedded C and C++\n Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) (Linux mandatory, Desirable, FreeRTOS, Threadx)\n Hard real time application experience: eg Video, Audio, Signal Processing, Audio/Video codec experience a plus\n Device driver design and implementation\n Optimizing embedded software for size and speed\n Optimizing boot loaders, eg uboot.\n Debugging and testing embedded systems\n Multitasking/multithreaded programming\n Streaming both Video and Audio in both Linux and RTOS.\n Networking Protocols: TCP/FTP/UDP/RTP/RTSP/RTCP/HTTPS/MQTT, Desirable: WebRTC, SIP, Thread, Matter\n Wireless communication protocols: WiFi, BLE, NFC, LTE\n Basic electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, logic analyzer, etc.)\n English: upper-intermediate\n Beneficial Skills\n Video and video networking experience a plus\n BS CS/EE/CE or relevant work experience (MS is a plus)\n Responsibilities\n Bring up new SoCs, chipsets, sensors, and products\n Write, debug, and integrate new device drivers, protocols, RTOS and other firmware code across Arlo’s embedded product line\n Interacting with Hardware, Cloud Operations Team, Mobile Clients Team and various other cross-functional teams throughout Arlo\n Review board schematics and data sheets\n Enable test strategies for new components in upcoming products\n Support product development builds\n Lead assigned
